Hookah Lounges in Fayetteville

Fayetteville is a university town of about 100,000 people that swells by 30,000 when the University of Arkansas is in session, and its hookah scene is sized accordingly: one dedicated lounge, well rated and busy. Buzz Hookah Lounge on Main Drive is the whole scene, and at 4.8 across 199 reviews it is one of the best-rated hookah venues in the state, behind only Mist in Rogers. It opens at 7 PM and serves to 5 AM, which matches the rhythm of a town where the night starts on Dickson Street and ends somewhere quieter. Arkansas law shapes what a lounge here can be. The Clean Indoor Air Act of 2006 bans smoking in enclosed workplaces but exempts any bar or restaurant that refuses entry to everyone under 21, staff included. That makes Fayetteville lounges 21+ without exception, which cuts out a large share of the undergraduate population and is part of why the city supports one venue rather than five. For anything else, the trade runs through retail: Alpha smoke shop on West Wedington Drive is open until 3 AM and carries hookah alongside vape and tobacco.

This is a student town, so expect a young room and a late one. Buzz does not open until 7 PM and the floor does not fill until well after the Dickson Street bars have peaked, so arriving at 11 PM or later is normal rather than late. The $10 to $20 band is among the cheapest in the region, which is the point in a college market, and a single session comfortably covers a table of three or four. Mint, double apple and the fruit mixes are the standard openers. Because the 21+ rule here comes from the smoking exemption rather than house policy, bring ID even if you are only there for the hookah and not drinking; staff have no discretion on it.
