When did store hours become optional? 8am-10pm Daily means that if a customer comes in at 9:50pm, they should be allowed to shop, and not be told the store is closed. I had to call District Manager to get them to let me in to buy my 1 item. I rounded up to spend $7. If they miss a minimum of that nightly, they are turning away over $2,500 a year. I know Dollar General is big, but I'm sure turning away money is not the normal policy. Then the cashier is fussing because I didn't want to drive back and forth across town to Walmart to get my item, didn't wanna hear my mouth, when I fused 10pm is 10pm not 9:50. They dont get over time if they gotta stay late. Either they aren't scheduled enough hours to get closing done properly in a time frame to help customers as a business should, or the closer is not trained well enough to do it in a timely manner. Either way that should not keep me from showing up in the designated time frame and getting the service I deserve for my money.

I stopped for the first time since it’s opening a few days ago. The employees are friendly. The store isn’t completely stocked, and I assume two things 1. They’ve had difficulty getting items delivered, as with any other place or 2. This is a soft opening and they will have a grand opening at a later date. I’ll keep checking. It’s a great location for and it’s a huge store. Right now, they have mostly non perishable groceries, cleaning, automotive, gifts, personal hygiene and a good selection of art supplies. The refrigerated items aren’t in, nor is there a huge supply of home decor. I want the place to be a success and was looking for a few specific items (out of curiosity) that I did not expect anyway. My necessities were met, the prices reasonable and I was treated well by the personnel. Best DG in town and best location for those who work/live on this side of town.
It's clean and well organized I get greeted when entering the store. As I shop I almost always see staff on the floor working. I really love this location it's convenient and it has plenty of parking as well.
