If you’re visiting the area and need groceries, I’d recommend saving yourself the extra stop and heading straight to Walmart. We went to Harps for a few basics, but the onions were rotten and the beer selection was so limited we couldn’t even find a regular 6- or 12-pack. We ended up having to drive to Walmart anyway to get what we needed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a very useful stop for stocking up on vacation essentials.

I went to Harps. It is close to my property. This is its greatest asset and I do not say that as a compliment to the store. The prices require a moment of silence. Four thirty for milk. I have paid less for milk in cities where the cost of everything else would make a hedge fund manager weep into his Bloomberg terminal. I am new to Arkansas. I am adjusting. The store is small. Clean enough. Gets the job done. I attempted to sign up for the rewards card. The machine asked what street the store is on. I asked the cashier with the Metallica hair. He said he didn't know. I asked the woman next to him. She also did not know. A customer told me. A customer. Someone who does not work there and presumably arrived to purchase groceries and not to fill the operational knowledge gap left by the entire staff. As I typed my information in, the Metallica hair gentleman grew visibly impatient and informed me it was "just for discounts." Yes. I am aware. The moment I finished signing up he turned to his colleague and announced he was going on a break. I returned two days later. I made a point of avoiding his line. As customers began unloading their carts he turned to the elderly woman behind the register and announced, once again, that he was going on a break. Not to a manager. Not quietly. To the elderly woman. Who now had to absorb an entire line of people who had committed to a checkout experience that was no longer being honored. I cannot wait for the robots. Not because I am anti-human. But because a robot would know what street it works on. Three stars. The customer who knew the street name deserves five.

Definitely improving. Nice to have a second grocery store for different sales and different brands. I think that they realize that and they're changing their stock to carry specialty stuff that Walmart doesn't have. Bravo!

Friendly service, clean environment and everyone is still learning where things are since they are considered new to our town... however, the staff is wonderful and very helpful.
