This is my first time here at BlaqHaus. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. The hostess and servers are amazing, helpful, informative, knowledgeable and attentive. Also patient. The food is amazing, we had the soul rolls and fried deviled eggs for appetizers and I ordered the short rib Benedict. All things I’ve never had before, but I will recommend and have again. The cranberry mimosa is great as well. They also have hooka. Definitely will come back. 😁

I’ve been to this restaurant on 3 different occasions and yesterday was my last straw. Starting off with the service, I’ve had the waitress Maria 2x at this point and each time, her service was very distasteful. The first time I experienced her was on Mother’s Day and she was rude and her attitude wasn’t welcoming. She acted as if we were bothering her. My aunt and mom in law had to speak to management. They apologized gave us a discount because of it. Yesterday, I experienced her again and it was the same attitude. Food: Several of our party ordered steak & eggs. They didn’t prepare the eggs how they asked for them so they had to send it back. Their steak was hard as a rock although they asked for medium. They also said it tasted like charcoal. A1 sauce couldn’t even fix it. I ordered catfish and grits, my grits were very watery. For my catfish and grits to be $34-35 dollars it should have been presented way better. We had a table of 15ish guest. They brought my food out first and alone, and the rest of the table didn’t receive their food until about 45-1hr later so I was eating alone. 2 of our guest never received their food so they told the waitress to just cancel the order because at that point most of the table was ready to go. Also for their price point on food items, the service should reflect the prices. If we order bottomless mimosas, our champagne bottle should be opened for us, it wasn’t enough ice to keep it chilled, and they served our watermelon and pineapple juice in regular cups instead of carafes. I have an attached picture on what that looked like. The space inside isn’t big enough for all the people they have in there. If I push my seat back I’m literally touching another party’s back. The waitress couldn’t fully get by me so she tells me to scoot in more so she can pass by. 18% gratuity should not be mandatory for service like that. We were disappointed.

Food was amazing!!! Service is fantastic!! Everyone was so fun and friendly! Had the fried deviled eggs, delicious! Not greasy or anything. Such a fun place for my aunt’s birthday! They did a whole celebration!

The food used to be so much better I guess with food prices they had to change things up. Still a cool spot but I think I’d only be back for appetizers, the salmon pasta is horrible ( do not put hot sauce in Alfredo and call it a meal uh), burgers have way less toppings, salad was the worst I’ve had in life, the drinks and soul roll were the only saving grace. Cool to chill not for dinner do not recommend for food anymore at all!

Sunday, June 28th. First time here for brunch with my friends and our server Nikki is absolutely amazing. The food was a 10. Service is a 10. The whole vibe was amazing. We will definitely be back.
