This place is a legend among smoke shops in the area has so many things under one roof, skateboard accessories, tattoo equipment and ink, a small consignment spot with one of the employees designs and so much more. The staff is friendly, helpful, and most of all super knowledgeable. If you haven’t gone in a while, they just opened up a wall and made the skating department much bigger.

Hands down highest quality glass in Redding. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and owner. Tons of inventory. Huge savings when sales are going on, holidays n stuff. Always my first choice shop, and there are a lot to choose from.

So I haven't been in The Darkside & Skate shop in awhile & they don't sell just smoke & vape items anymore. They have a huge selection of skateboard stuff, tee shirts, 3D Dragon's, journals, tapestries, specimens & rocks. I picked up a candle, tapestry & a dragon. If you haven't been in awhile you should check them out.

My daughter has helped me rekindle skating. Being in my 30's and not having touched a board in a serious manner since I was 17, I was intimidated on getting a board and trying to build it myself. So much has changed in 15 years, but at the same time the sport/hobby is still the same. I wish I remember the name to the dude that helped me. He was super knowledgeable and brought me back to my high school days. I for sure need dust off the cobwebs, but it felt good to get on a deck that is mine. This shop 100% remindes me of the old school skate shops and the shops that were around when I got my first real deck at 8 years old. This place is a dying breed and im super glad I brought business here versus buying through CCS or another online retailer. Looking for a deck locally? Go here!
