Went on a Sunday and it was definitely busy. We waited close to 30 minutes before our order was taken, and unfortunately our food appeared to be ready for a while before it was brought out, so it arrived more lukewarm than hot. That said, the atmosphere was lively and festive, making it a fun spot to hang out with friends. Not a lot of I'd recommend coming when you're not in a rush and can enjoy the experience at a slower pace. As for the food, it was decent overall, but nothing that particularly stood out to me.

This place has a classic North Beach atmosphere that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The sandwiches and Italian dishes are fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. Their espresso is also excellent and pairs perfectly with the relaxed café vibe. What really makes the experience stand out is the friendly service and the historic charm of the café. It feels like a true neighborhood gem where locals and visitors can sit back, enjoy a great meal, and soak in the character of the area. Whether you stop by for a quick coffee, a sandwich, or a relaxed lunch, Mario’s never disappoints. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I’m in the neighborhood. ☕🥪✨

Mario’s Bohemian Cafe never disappoints. Their food is incredibly fresh, delicious, and authentically Italian. Love that they brew Graffeo coffee, too—it makes for the perfect afternoon stop in the city.

I’ve been coming to Mario’s every visit to San Francisco for over 40 years I was hooked from the start when I was fortunate to stop in on a cloudy, rainy day and warmed up with a cafe mocha and a focaccia sandwich. I love this cozy, friendly, corner spot on the park. I’ve shared my love of Mario’s with my wife and 2 sons who also enjoy the ambiance and offerings and location. We all wear Mario’s t-shirts. Looking forward to my next visit already!!

My favorite is the “chicken #1” oven-baked sandwich, which has an addictive mustard sauce on green onion focaccia. Also love pesto chicken panini on the flattened Dutch crunch. Great Americano
