I've been to this place a few times without any issues. However, when I came back today (7/11/2026) around 4:00 PM and brought a friend with me, the employee brought out already-used coals. That was very disappointing and unsanitary. Because of this experience, I won't be coming back.

Monroe Hookah Lounge is easily one of the best places in the city to unwind. The atmosphere is sleek and modern yet comfortably cozy. The shisha is top-tier, with smooth clouds and long-lasting flavors. The staff deserves a special mention for being attentive and on point with the coals, all without being intrusive.

My girlfriend and I visited Monroe Hookah Lounge on Friday, December 26, 2025. Upon arrival, we requested to be seated at an empty booth that still had hookah left behind from the previous guests. We stepped away so the area could be cleaned, which we did by going to the restroom. When we returned, the booth had been given to two other men, and we were simply told that they just sat there without any acknowledgment that the table had already been requested, but somehow the staff couldn’t tell them that that booth was already reserved for us. As a result, we were seated in another Patrons section, despite wanting a more private booth for conversation. Shortly afterward, another booth became available, but once again we were required to wait for it to be cleaned. There were two female staff members working that evening and they were lazy the type of lazy where they get paid to talk to each other and ignore the customers. I have visited hookah lounges across multiple states and have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism or such delays in table turnover. The hookah was poor, the cheap seats was ripped and snagging my clothes…While the venue had a good crowd, the service remained consistently poor throughout our visit.

The staff is so nice!!!!!! The place is clean, has great music, and the hookah flavors are so smooth. I would highly recommend. We were having a slight bad time because we went to a place that treated us so bad but once we walked in started talking to the young man he was so cool and nice we felt welcome! I would come back anytime. If you’re looking to unwine it has a relaxing atmosphere but you can also be yourself!
