I was denied service here because I had my service dog in training with me. After I explained that he is a service dog, the employee refused to serve both me and my fiancé and stated he has a phobia of dogs. In Florida, service animals and service animals in training are legally allowed in public businesses under Florida Statute §413.08. Fear or phobia of dogs is not a valid reason to deny service. My dog was leashed, calm, and under control. This situation could have been avoided with basic staff education on service animal laws.
