I am happy to provide reviews outside of signature meals at restaurants. With over 2 million views I am compelled to broaden my scope. 4 cigar smokers this location is one of the best. And they recently dedicated a whole aisle in the humidor to 30% off cigars that is outstanding. Along with that the service is consistent and Rob has been the bartender for most of my visits over all these years and makes everything comfortable and makes you feel like it's your local place to go. Let me not forget that I have brought our family dog in there in a few occasions and they have treated him extra special and it's just a joy to go to a standby that's always consistent and awesome. Well done! ————————————————————————————— Casa Montecristo South Tampa, Do you want customers filling the seats in your cigar lounge—or empty seats because guests, especially ladies and non-regular cigar smokers, cannot tolerate the environment? The ventilation is a serious issue. A customer should not have to sit in a cigar lounge with burning eyes from excessive smoke. During the summer, keeping doors open for airflow clearly isn’t enough, and the air conditioning cannot keep up with the heat while also addressing the smoke concerns. A premium cigar lounge experience should be comfortable, not overwhelming. Please either invest in proper ventilation for the current venue or consider moving to a location equipped to handle cigar smoke appropriately. Right now, the environment is making it difficult for customers to enjoy the experience.

I have gone past Montecristo many times and finally decided to stop in and enjoy a drink and cigar with a friend. The attendant was great assisting in my cigar selection. Great laid back atmosphere. I will definitely come again.

One of best Cigar lounges in SoHo & South Tampa. Full bar with a great variety of cigars at a very reasonable price. Staff are so friendly & Mike was so helpful in recommending a new cigar to try. Highly recommend this place for a great smoke & relaxing!

Excellent staff, cigar quality, and great location. Otherwise, I can no longer recommend what used to be my go-to spot. While I expect there to be smoke in a cigar lounge, the air quality here has become completely intolerable when there's more than a few people inside. The smoke heavily lingers, making it difficult to breathe and causing your eyes burn. It's impossible to stay for any length of time. Leaving the doors open helps a little, but that's not an option with the heat in FL. It is a shame to see a great place decline due to poor facility maintenance. I know I am not the only regular who feels this way. Casa de Montecristo needs to invest in a modern ventilation system before more loyal customers leave for better-ventilated lounges in the city. If the goal is to keep customers coming back, the environment needs to be comfortable enough to actually stay and enjoy the experience. I feel bad for the staff that has to work in these conditions! At least I can leave when it's gets to be too smoky.
