The rooftop space is on another level, comfortable, and with an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. We tried the Classic Old Fashioned, Blackberry Sour, Whiskey Smashand Blood Orange Margarita, and every single cocktail was outstanding. The drinks were expertly crafted, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. What really impressed us was the combination of a laid-back vibe, excellent service, and an incredible cigar selection. Whether you're a cigar enthusiast or just looking for a great rooftop spot to unwind, this place delivers. Highly recommended and definitely a must-visit when you're in Ybor City!

I cannot say enough about my favorite cigar spot in Tampa. Once transported to the rooftop, it’s hard to believe you are still in Ybor. The sweet sounds of jazz or some talented musician will serenade you, the seating is plentiful, drinks always on point made by the lovely always smiling Tori and cigars cut by precision with Josh. Lovely atmosphere, vibes upon vibes, curated cocktails and ofc an enviable cigar selection for the walk in humidor. A must visit destination for an elevated experience, Cheers!

​Review: Sterling Cigar Lounge & Bar (Ybor City) ​Rating: 3/5 ​While Sterling is often buzzed about as the "modern" alternative in the district, my experience was largely average. It lacks the deep-rooted atmosphere found at more established Ybor staples, and the overall "wow factor" just wasn't there for me. ​The Atmosphere & Vibe ​The lounge definitely leans into a contemporary, sleek aesthetic. It’s clean and polished, but it misses that authentic "Cigar City" soul you get at a place like King Corona. If you prefer a lounge that feels more like a high-end hotel lobby than a traditional cigar factory environment, you might like it, but for me, it felt a bit sterile. ​The Selection ​One of the biggest drawbacks is the humidor. The selection is significantly smaller than other local spots I frequent. They don't carry a house brand, which is a missed opportunity in a historic district known for custom blends. You’re limited to the standard big-name brands, so don’t expect to find anything rare or proprietary here. ​The View ​There is a lot of talk about the rooftop experience, but in reality, it’s underwhelming. You’re mostly looking at a sea of rooftops; it isn't the sweeping, scenic vista you might be led to believe. ​Comparison: If you want a view that actually inspires, go to The Cathedral and look up at the architecture, or hit King Corona—the view of the "5" (7th Ave action) is much more iconic and engaging. ​The Verdict ​Sterling is an "average" spot that feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to be modern in a neighborhood that thrives on tradition. It’s a decent place to kill an hour if you're nearby, but I don't quite understand the massive hype.

Visited last Monday (4/6/26) and had a great experience ! The lounge has excellent ventilation, which made it very comfortable to sit and enjoy a cigar. The service was fantastic, the cigar selection was impressive, and the overall setup of the lounge really stood out. I also liked that they have two patios on either side of the main lounge area, which adds to the atmosphere and gives you extra space to relax. Jake helped us during our visit, and he was very helpful, personable, and made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re in Tampa/Ybor City and looking for a quality cigar lounge. Highly recommend!

Ok, so I give this review as a born Floridian and never been here before. This secret hidden gem is absolutely amazing! You enter on street level and go to level 4 and then you’re on the rooftop. “T” was our spirit guide (mixologist) and Josh was our host and advanced director of suggestions. Omg this place is a secret gem. The energy and vibe is so calming and hyped at the same time. If you want an intimate date, here’s your space, if you want to be with another roudy group, here’s your space. They are literally divided and don’t feel confused, they have the space for you. Also, live music is poppin if you want that but it’s on the other side of the building. So don’t worry about vibes being mixed, “T” and Josh are absolutely amazing, I’m obsessed with the drinks, the view, the vibe, the temperature… it’s all PERFECT!
