The owners are awesome and are definitely professionals at making drinks! For someone who doesn’t enjoy straight whiskey, they mixed it so well. They are also both super sweet and have lovely personalities. The atmosphere of this building takes you back to the 1800s. I had such a blast and will be going back!

Phenomenal addition to Rushville! The cocktails are delicious, and the vast bourbon selection is divine! Their wine selection is quite a bit smaller than the bourbon, but the wines are a perfect! The only downfall was the reds are served at the same cold temperature as the whites and effervescent wines, but still delicious nonetheless! The cigar lounge tops off the experience perfectly! Definitely worth stopping in and catching a piece of this vintage atmosphere

Fantastic Bourbon Bar!! Located in a smaller city but once you step inside you're transported back to a different Era! They have a humidor and cigar lounge for those wanting to partake. Those that don't partake of a cigar need not worry about the smoke or smell. That is contained within the cigar lounge. Not known for it's food but for it's Bourbon offerings! Although they don't serve "meals" they do offer light snacks such as Goat Cheese platter and chicken skewers along with some wonderful cheesecake and chocolates! Would highly recommend to anyone 21 and over!!

A true hidden gem in the town of Rushville, Indiana !!! We celebrated my future daughter in laws bridal shower at this venue. The owners were amazing ! The atmosphere and character of the building is undeniably stunning! Anyone having a future event I would highly recommend contacting 1838 Bourbon and Wine Bar!!!! Thanks again & we will be back! I took a friend of mine here for drinks after a nice dinner, for some laid back adult time, and was soo surprised with the aesthetics and care so obviously put into this bar. We bought a flight to try some cocktails (mostly a knock out of the park) that I didn’t mind the price and the bartender himself was very sweet and attentive. We both loved the quieter atmosphere and are definitely going back soon!
