If y’all know y’all have a penny shortage just like the rest of the world you had to round up or you give me my money back I’m not donating to your company. Y’all already make so much money off of us so therefore y’all need to get with the program and start rounding up, are y’all gonna take a shortage cause I get no paycheck from y’all from the money I’m donating to your company cause if y’all don’t have the pennies, y’all just shorted us and you take the extra change unacceptable

So I'm shopping for a few things I need at this dollar general yesterday. I ask a woman of color with long dreadlocks where I can find a certain item. She replies with "we don't stock that item." OK, cool. I understand that Dollar General has limited space, and cannot stock everything that I might possibly want like Walmart. At this point, the woman asked me if I wouldn't mind leaving my handbag at the front desk. I kind of balk for a moment to make sure I had understood her correctly. I said "You want me to leave my personal pocketbook with a stranger up front, correct?" She says "yes" as if this is not a big deal or discriminatory. At this point, I know not to say what Is going through my mind because that would be quite unladylike. Instead, I'm writing this review in hopes that the store will respond before my lawyer does. Hopefully I misunderstood something, maybe this is store policy, but I'm pretty sure it's not. Why me then? Why ask me to leave my handbag with the people at the register? I've never stolen anything from any store including Dollar General, and I never will. Somehow I feel that if I was a white person, I would not have been asked to leave my purse with some stranger. My civil and constitutional rights have been violated, I'm extremely angry about it, and I'm sick of it. This is the last straw. I plan to take legal action, well I already have, maybe they can find time in their day to have their manager give me a call, because of course their phone number listed here doesn't work. I'm sure that my lawyer will be able to contact them just fine.

Manager never has same personally. I dont know if shes prejudiced r what... Not a good atmosphere and honesty I dont enjoy going in there when she is there. Bernard Riley is kind, hard worker n a professional. He is the reason i go there.

I visit the Dollar General store on a regular basis. They have whatever I am looking for and it is convenient. The store on Prien Lake road is usually very organized and clean unlike some of the other stores. I enjoy shopping at this Dollar General.
