I usually avoid big chainstores, but I was going home and need some big bottles of water and there was no places that I knew of between where I was and home. So I pulled in here. Pretty standard Dollar General, except it seemed to be better organized and maintained, then most I've seen. And the one person who waited on me was very friendly, helpful and professional. I'll be back and adjust my review if needed. Color me surprised and delighted.

They are one of the cleanest and most organized DG stores I’ve seen. They don’t have crowded aisles and are always friendly when you enter. Great location as well.

Great prices had exactly what I needed in stock

While this store is rather crowded with narrow aisles and merchandise piled everywhere, prices are very reasonable and the selection of foodstuffs is great. I found some things here not available elsewhere in Calais.

Not only have I shown up to find the store closed earlier then store hours without bad weather or anything. I was appalled to be shopping with my daughter tonight and found the cashier talking on her cell phone about general gossip while ringing up customers. So instead of receiving great customer service I got to listen about who’s husband is doing what. The customer service in the store is a joke. They need to be more professional and put their customers as a priority. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on because I’ve addressed concerns with the store manager previously as well and she doesn’t fix the issues. I will be supporting businesses where I am at least greeted instead of listening to gossip conversation at the register. This is ridiculous as I try to support the store but between the mess in the store and being disrespected by staff, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
