The atmosphere is amazing with afrobeats playing and the hookah came in like 2 minutes after I ordered it and the service is really attentive with drinks and/or replacing your coals.

i frequent here often enough and usually it’s good honest service but yesterday 3/22/26 i believe the waitress tipped herself without my permission or selection. i figured so because as i was checking out i realized after it didn’t give me an option to tip like it usually does, and there’s no where that states that they now include gratuity onto the bill. When i sent the receipt to my phone number I saw the usual MD tax as well as gratuity of 18%. I never even got the option to select the ranges of tip. I knew something was off but decided to not say anything in the moment to not cause a scene and i figured the waitress must of really needed it for her to do something like that but i find that to be really unjust and nasty for someone to steal like that, especially as i have patronized this place way too many times and have given them a lot of my money as nice place for me to chill and have hookah. If someone could reach out from the business to rectify the situation so i can figure out who this lady is and why she would do such a thing, that would be great. I have literally invited more business to them by bringing people along but i will not tolerate a thief. So to all who come please pay extra attention to your bill or if you’re feeling kind and non confrontational as I was, then just don’t mention it. Smh.
