★★★★★ A sincere apology and a much more accurate review I wanted to take a moment to rewrite my previous review because I don't feel that it fairly represented my experience with this store. A few weeks ago, I stopped by on a Sunday morning after my vape unexpectedly broke. I had checked Google Maps, which indicated that the store was already open, so I arrived around 9:30 AM only to find that the business was still closed. I was frustrated at the time and left a negative review. Since then, I learned that there had been an issue with getting the Sunday hours correctly reflected on Google Maps. The store actually opens at 10:00 AM on Sundays. Looking back, my frustration really should have been directed toward the inaccurate information on Google rather than toward a local business that has consistently treated me extremely well. I eventually deleted that review, but I also felt that I owed the owners and staff a proper explanation and a review that reflects my actual experience. I've been coming to Blue Moon on Moody Street regularly for at least two years, and I've visited just about every smoke shop in the Boston area. I can honestly say that this is one of my favorites. One of the things I particularly appreciate about this location is how spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out it is. I've been in plenty of smoke shops where the space feels cramped, cluttered, or almost like the walls are closing in around you. That can have a surprisingly big impact on the overall experience. Blue Moon feels completely different. There's room to browse comfortably, everything is organized, and the store has a very pleasant atmosphere. I believe the concept I'm thinking of is feng shui—the layout and environment genuinely make a difference. The cleanliness is another thing that really stands out. The store is consistently well maintained, the carpet always appears freshly vacuumed, there is very little unnecessary clutter, and there are no unpleasant smells. The shelves are well organized and seem to be kept up to date as products sell, which makes the entire store look professional and inviting. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. They're knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about the people who walk through the door. They make an effort to develop a rapport with their regular customers, and as someone who has been coming here for years, I really appreciate that. You don't feel like just another transaction. The staff here consistently make you feel welcome and appreciated, whether you're a first-time customer or someone they've seen hundreds of times. That kind of personal attention is increasingly rare, and I think it deserves recognition. The store is also very well stocked, and I've been impressed by the variety and availability of products over the years. Everything feels organized rather than overcrowded, and the inventory is maintained in a way that makes it easy to see what's actually available. Most importantly, this is a local, family/Mom-and-Pop-style business, and that's ultimately why I wanted to correct my previous review. One bad experience caused by incorrect information on Google should not outweigh approximately two years of consistently positive experiences with the people who actually run and work at this store. So, to the owners and staff: I'm sorry for the unfair review I left previously. I was frustrated in the moment, but I realize now that I was directing that frustration at the wrong people. I hope this review better reflects how I actually feel about Blue Moon. Thank you for consistently providing a clean, comfortable, well-stocked store and, most importantly, excellent customer service. I appreciate the fact that you remember your regular customers and treat us like people rather than simply another sale.

Very polite and knowledgeable staff. I have been there a dozen time and everytime it was a pleasant shopping experience with a very nice, polite staff. Just a good vibe, awesome products, and very reasonable prices. All 3 staff members (different ones each time) were very very nice. Thank you. 5 stars all around!

I’ve been going to BIue Moon since they opened on moody Street in Waltham, MA. I’ve been shopping here since circa 2017, maybe earlier. Either way, I’ve spent a few bands there just this year alone. I’ve dropped about 8 grand there in total over the years. They’ve never exchanged anything for me at aII, even when the product was defective / broken. Whenever I get a defective product or a product that doesn’t work, I have no recourse, they give me no options whatsoever, I take on the cost every time. I highly suggest going to 420 moody street Waltham (Moody Street Smoke Shop), two doors down from BIue Moon. Moody Street Smoke Shop is more of a Mom and Pop shop, whereas BIue Moon is a chain owned by wealthy sharehoIders who seemingly make 💸 off of telling customers they’re wrong even if the employee acknowledged the defect on the item. Doesn’t matter the details or the facts, not to them, what they say goes, and if you try to stand up for yourself, you’ll regret it. They clearly see self-advocacy as a threat. Weird how they treat certain customers one way and other customers another way. They didn’t used to do that I don’t know why they would now. Idk exactly how to say this, but if you’re disabIed, and/or different in any way, I highly suggest going two doors down to Moody Street Smoke Shop, and skip the crueIty.

Decent selection of doo-dads and glass, focusing on larger molded water pipes (hand-made pieces were mostly hand-held sizes). Dude working the counter was friendly and there when I needed him, but didn't crowd me as I browsed.
