The last true indoor cigar lounge left in Minneapolis, and it shows why it's worth fighting the city's 15-minute "sampling" rule to keep. Exposed timber joists, mission oak and leather seating, a wall of pipe tobacco jars behind the counter, and a fine layer of lived-in dust that reads as character, not neglect. As someone who manages historic buildings for a living, I appreciated that they left the structure honest. The humidor is seriously stocked, budget yard sticks up through Opus X, at reasonable prices. I smoked a My Father and nobody rushed me through it. Practical notes nobody else mentions: no bar, but regulars brought in their own coffee without issue, and the vending machine sells a properly chilled bottle of water for a buck. Seating was easy on a Saturday afternoon, plenty of open leather. If the city gets its way this room disappears. Go while it's here.

I walked in and was immediately greeted with friendliness and warmth. I was given a recommendation on a cigar and they purchased it for me just so I could try it out. I immediately purchased another cigar and the recommendation was good. We came from out of state and I can say I will be back again. Would highly recommend
Cool atmosphere, and one of the larger places around—however, their pricing on pipe tobacco is a bit extreme: $45 for a tin of Capstan Blue (I can find that online all day long for $25) and similar for some Cornell & Diehl, $30 for a tin that I can get elsewhere for $15! I want to support local, but wow…that kind of pricing makes it tough.
These guys know tobacco. Extensive knowledge and selection. Lots of premium stuff. No nonsense help. Worth it if you’re looking for something above the cut.
The people behind the creation of this place have been in the tobacco business a very long time. Places with names like Sutter's, Golden Leaf, to name a couple of tobacco stores that no longer exist, but the surviving employees of, can still be found operating this fine establishment. If your a smoker, pipe, cigar, or those Insidious cigarettes, this is one of the last places where you can go and not feel like you're participating in some form of socially destroying Behavior. Yeah smoking is not good for you, don't start. But if you have, you are a smoker, you're a work in progress, comfortable with being flawed, or imperfect. You will find this to be a wonderful place. If they don't have it you probably shouldn't smoke it. ( well there's one thing you could smoke that they can't sell yet) anyways who am I to judge? Sports politics weather Arts science music or any other eclectic topic you can think of, that could potentially make the smoking of a cigar more pleasant, or more social are entirely accepted in more than four separate Lounge areas in which to smoke and socialize. Whenever I come up town even though this place is not inexpensive, I always find a reason to stop in, get a whiff of the place, because to a smoker, this place smells like a candy store. Yes they have a nice hot cup of coffee for their patrons. Sometimes you need that cup, to make everything work out just fine. Come in, buy your item of personal choice, clip it, grab a cup of coffee, find a seat, and take a few moments to get philosophical.
