It is 9pm, the guy finally buzzes me in. I guess he thought I was criminal. Typical, I'm a Latino man. I approached the glass wall. No one behind. I guess. I said, HELLO. I asked if they sell cigarettes. Hard to hear him while he's sitting down somewhere behind the glass wall. I never saw him. The "kid" responded, "No". Never stood up. But the guy who entered behind me was given the proper etiquette and customer service. What the!?.. Hard to say, was it because the guy behind was from his culture? This is wild. By the way, they DON'T SELL CIGARETTES. What's up with the offensive light. How come the community has not reported or complaint about this. Quality of life is compromised with bright lights at night.

I used to go to the dispensary, but that can add up after a while, so I started going here for a couple months and buying $100 worth (2) of Boutiq vapes like 2 times a week! Tonight I was sold a defective vape and I brought it back immediately after buying it because it wouldnt pull, and u know what the dude that was working told me? "I think it's supposed to be like that." Umm, really? Ur not supposed to let out any smoke after pulling on a vape? Cmon now! And no, this vape had no button to press on to take the pull cuz we both checked for that. I said, ok, so can u please give me a vape that works and he hands me another one that doesn't work! At this point I'm like, dude, this is ridiculous, just give me a vape from a different company cause these obviously dont work and he says, "well, u already opened two and I think it's supposed to be like that... it only let's out very little smoke." I didn't want to overstep at this point and get nothing, so I just said nicely, "sir, I just want a vape that works." Now he calls someone on the phone to ask them about the particular type of vape that wasn't working and if only a little smoke is supposed to come out. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and seeing. Finally he gets off the phone, probably with the owner who most likely told him that no, no vape only let's out a tiny bit of smoke when u pull on it for like 10 seconds, and the dude finally hands me a different type of vape that I normally buy. I couldn't help buy say I didn't appreciate that he was basically calling me an idiot. So he says, "oh yea, how's that? And I said cause ur trying to tell me that a broken vape I'm pulling on in front of u for 10 seconds is not supposed to let out any smoke? I told him that I'd be coming by to let the owner know how he's treating valuable customers. Then, this dummy yells "Well, good luck cause I'm the owner!" 🤣 I laughed so hard at this and just said yea ok, the owner wouldn't treat a repeat customer that spends hundreds of dollars every week at their store and on top of that not know how a vape functions! 😒 EDIT: I went by the store later on and tried to speak to who I thought the real owner was, but to my surprise he tried to tell me that his buddy who was at the store that day I was sold the defective vape wasn't wrong for the way he treated me and that we both "weren't wrong." 😆 Um, yes he was wrong! And now u just lost a whole lotta money and someone who woulda been a loyal customer and brought in other loyal customers. There are Boutiq vapes all over Astoria sweetie. Bye.

if I can get this place zero stars I would… I was just looking for a new smoke shop in my neighborhood since my old one got shut down but unfortunately I was denied because my id was not updated.. never heard of that before The dude didn’t even bother to look at my birthday.. not to mention this place was mad dirty… trust me avoid this place at all cost and just go down to 30th ave you’ll get what you need!!!

DO NOT GO HERE - When house of smokes first opened up, I was happy to have a smoke shop near me. The first time I went in the guy working behind the counter ( beard and a little heavy ) looked as if he was on all the drugs that could possibly be taken. He started spazzing out at me asking and yelling if I was a cop and to get out because he thought I was a cop… I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back and honestly didn’t have any other issues for a while. The other staff that are there are very welcoming and nice and I’ve never had an issue with them. The one with the beard weirdly followed me on Instagram and continued to DM me and swipe up to my stories very weirdly. ( his Instagram will be seen in pics ) and yet I still continued to go giving them the benefit of the doubt. My main reasoning for writing this review is because they are beyond unprofessional, when I’d come no one would be in the store and I’d have to stand out there waiting for the guy to finishing smoking in his car ( guy with beard - lil heavy ) …like you are at work and should be behind the counter, why is it that I constantly have to wait for him to finishing smoking or hanging with his friends outside to be let in. I came today to get something and I was waiting a long time and kept ringing the bell and they were obviously opened and yet again he wasn’t there. I questioned him and said what are your hours cause this is beyond unprofessional. After we had the conversation about why the store wasn’t opened he blocked me on Instagram well knowing he was in the wrong. To the owner of the store , why are your workers smoking constantly on the job? Maybe idk the law but I don’t think that’s allowed to be smoking your inventory.

This is the first smoke shop I have ever been to in my 15+ years of smoking. That did not have downstems in stock. Thats almost impressive.
