I came for the hookah but the food was the star of the show! The lamb chips, chicken kebab and rice, wings, and cheese fries are all worth ordering. The salad that the entrees come with is absolutely delicious!! The hookah was well made, very smooth and long lasting. The service was good and the ambience was very chill.

Visited this place in Bay Ridge with a friend and was disappointed to find it completely changed under new ownership. The seating was available but uncomfortable, the atmosphere was loud and noisy. There was no entertainment to soothe it. Most menu items were unavailable, and the only promising item “the hookah” looked nice but had no flavor at all. Our simple & only choice of appetizers (fries and cheese sticks) took far too long to be served, and even the “homemade” dessert offered by the nice hostess to smooth things over wasn’t actually homemade. For a $100 worth of a visit, the experience fell far below expectations. The place has unfortunately lost its previous fame and high ratings.

This was my first time trying Egyptian cuisine, and Al Bait Baitak Restaurant & Hookah Lounge in Brooklyn made a great first impression. The overall vibe is chill and welcoming, and the menu offers a nice balance of Egyptian dishes alongside familiar American options, which makes it approachable whether you’re exploring something new or dining with a mixed group. The food really delivered. The mixed grill was the standout for me (I inhaled the lamb). The wings were properly crispy with solid flavor, and I was especially impressed by the Hawashi, an Egyptian street food that quickly became my favorite part of the meal. We also ordered mocktails, which were well made and refreshing, and the milk tea deserves a special mention as it was phenomenal and easily one of the best I’ve had. After dinner, we spent time in the lounge area playing cards and enjoying hookah. I went with the pineapple mango flavor, which was smooth and a perfect way to wind down the night. Overall, this spot is a full vibe: good food, relaxed energy, solid drinks, and a lounge experience that encourages you to stay awhile. I’d definitely come back.

My go to place for hookah, after trying multiple spots in the area this one wins. The hookah is always good and the service is even better. Very friendly people that make everyone feel welcome.
