Don’t want to tell you my secret little rooftop hideaway with great cocktails, hookah and a view of the sky, but here we are. Benny is a fantastic bartender, Igor is one of the most cordial managers and love the new flower wall from the same artist that did the florals at Somewhere Nowhere.

Knick Watch Party Event Review I reserved a table at Althea’s Rooftop & Lounge for the Knicks watch party on June 13, 2026, with a minimum spend requirement of nearly $1,300. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had. For a Knicks watch party, there was only one TV located all the way in the back of the bar. There was no game audio, no DJ, and no atmosphere that felt like a watch party. The service delays were unacceptable. The first round of drinks took almost an hour to arrive, and every order after that was extremely slow. Our server was kind, professional, and doing her best, but it was obvious she was not being given the support or resources needed to properly serve guests. The biggest issue was the lack of available food and drink options. Many menu items were unavailable, and the only food they seemed to have were chicken wings. They eventually ran out of those too. We were expected to meet a $1,300 minimum spend, yet there was simply not enough inventory available to do so. By the end of the night, our group had only consumed about $500 worth of food and drinks—not because we didn’t want to spend more, but because there was literally nothing else available to order. Despite this, we were still charged the full $1,300 minimum. There appeared to be no manager available to address concerns, no organization, and no clear system in place. Charging guests a high minimum spend while failing to provide the products, service, and experience to support it is unacceptable.
Evenings on a New York rooftop always carry a special energy. This is where parties, art exhibitions and all kinds of events turn every night into a story. For me this rooftop is my favorite spot in the city. The atmosphere is friendly, the service is top notch and people are open and easy to connect with. But most importantly this is where you’ll find the best hookah in New York. And not just anywhere but outdoors right in the heart of Manhattan. Where else in the center of New York can you enjoy such a combination? Hookah lovers welcome. Everything here is made for those who choose only the best. I recommend booking your table in advance since the demand is high and it’s no surprise because you won’t find an atmosphere like this anywhere else.
I had such a good time here kicking off Rooftop season. The drinks are great, get the Colada! Also, this was the best hookah I ever had in nyc ! Make sure to visit!
Absolutely loved this place! Such a new and stunning spot — the interior is beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing. The espresso martini with marshmallow (honestly one of the best I’ve ever had). Everything felt high-quality and thoughtfully done. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!
