The service was amazing and fast, partial because it was empty. That’s the first time i’ve ever seen that place empty like that. We was the only people there, but that didn’t stop the experience. The food was spot on we had a few appetizers and couldn’t even make it to the entrees. The happy hour drinks did what happy hours drinks are suppose to do. And the ambience is just beautiful. That literally saved the day. Nonetheless though this spot is always usually good for music and a crowd , the crowd wasn’t there when i went but the music and food was.

Came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. I loved the atmosphere and the DJ was excellent. I had the shrimp and grits. I felt it could of used a savory sauce to elevate the taste but it was good. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

1 million/10 ! Very cute aesthetic, sexy vibe excellent for groups , a bestie evening out, or to celebrate your birthday. Service was top tier and food was excellent. …..Days later I’m still thinking about the fried rice. There’s a DJ who was on point and had me singing at my seat. Cleanliness is next to godliness and this place was immaculate down to the bathrooms ; Which ladies I’m sure you’ll appreciate. I went on a Thursday. They have different theme nights. But I’m partial to Thursdays 😊. Needless to say I will be a frequent patron. Add this to your list of places to check out .

I visited Lola La Marina during a busy Knicks game last night, so I fully expected a high-energy atmosphere and longer wait times. What I did not expect was the lack of basic steps of service and hospitality standards. I work in the hospitality industry, and I understand the difference between being busy and providing poor service. A semi-packed bar is not an excuse for a lack of acknowledgment, communication, or professionalism. When I arrived at the bar, several guests were waiting to be served. One bartender appeared focused on service tickets, which is understandable. However, the bartenders assigned to guests at the bar made little to no effort to acknowledge anyone waiting. A simple smile, eye contact, or “I’ll be right with you” goes a long way in making guests feel seen and valued. None of that happened. One bartender stood nearby taking a break while guests waited. When she eventually approached, there was no greeting, no welcome, and no effort to engage. I was forced to raise my voice over loud music to place a drink order because she remained so far away. The interaction felt cold and dismissive, and I refused to order with her. When I got my drink and went to sign, of course, a 20% tip was included. What stood out most was the overall lack of hospitality. Guests were repeatedly approaching the bar looking for servers, asking for managers, and expressing frustration. The staff appeared overwhelmed, disorganized, and unsupported. This points to larger operational issues involving training, communication, staffing, and management. What makes this disappointing is that the venue itself has tremendous potential. The renovation is beautiful. The atmosphere is attractive and mature. The music was great, and the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. The space creates the kind of experience people want to return to. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the venue. My recommendation is for management to revisit their steps of service, reinforce guest acknowledgment standards, and invest in stronger hospitality training. Every guest should feel welcomed, even during the busiest shift. A smile, eye contact, and a simple greeting cost nothing, but they make a significant difference. I genuinely hope they improve because the service foundation isn't there. Right now, the space feels ready for success, but the staff team is holding it back.

Worst experience I ever had in my life when it comes to my birthday dinners!!if you have a large party do not come here if you complain to the owner or manager they brush you off ! Had reservations at 6:30 they didn’t seat me till 740 first they tell me table getting ready than they lied an say we didn’t seat you because all your guests was not here after I told them my guests are leaving because they are tired of waiting! Got seated Waited forever to get our orders! No silverware on the table had ask 4 times ! as you can see in the picture no plates No napkin had to get it ourselves some of my guest food a drinks never came after telling them 3 times they was upset I felt so bad! More of my party just wanted to leave ! Our desert took the longest after asking many times ! So we just took it to go we wanted to get out of there I felt bad for even choosing this place for my birthday dinner an my 18 guests ! Most left before everything was done only had 7 people left they only stayed because they wanted to get there money worth at 50$ a person plus tax and the 20% gratuity that should have never been paid for the horrible service we got! But I could not find the owner no more ! I’m sure he new! Tried to support this black owned business. I don’t think it’s black owned. I think it’s a front cause it was not one black person working there never again.
