really, really friendly and helpful staff. happy to answer questions that um sure they'll be asked every five minutes but we're pleasant and answered as though ut was first time being asked. great place to have a smoke and watch the guys rolling and preparing cigars. I found it fascinating. the cigars are really cheap - think I paid $5 for a robusto and $14 for a Churchill. really good cigars.

Such a great spot. Visited twice during a New York vacation and was so impressed. Will is such a credit to the cigar industry. I had the pleasure of overhearing him serve first time cigar smokers at the counter and he was helpful, informative and had no ego whatsoever. On my second visit I stopped by before heading to Yankee Stadium for a game and he offered to hold my Cigar Cutter overnight in the shop so it wouldn’t get confiscated at the stadium. The cigars themselves are wonderful and at an extremely reasonable price point. Great draw, burn, flavour and construction. The best part? Walking in off the busy streets of Manhattan and being transported into an old school world where Latin music drifts through the background, live Baseball plays on the TV, and Spanish speaking Torcedors effortlessly roll world class tobacco right before your eyes

Martinez Cigars made our golf outing so much better than we could’ve imagined. John was incredibly helpful from the start, he walked us through picking the right cigars and figuring out exactly how many we’d need for the event, and answered every single phone call along the way. What really made it special was the custom label and having cigars rolled live at the event. It gave the whole thing a personal touch our guests weren’t expecting, and it ended up being a highlight of the day for the golfers. Highly recommend Martinez Cigars for any event.

Found this local gem while walking through Manhattan. It’s incredible to find a place that has been around for 52 years! You can see the craftsmanship firsthand with fresh, hand-rolled cigars right there in the shop. A true NYC staple for anyone who appreciates quality and tradition.
