I went to my friend’s birthday celebration at Blend last Saturday the 30th and honestly, I had to leave a review because this place has gone completely downhill. A few years ago, Blend was actually the spot. The music was good, the energy was fun, and people genuinely came there to have a good time. Now? It feels run down, unorganized, and nothing like it used to be. First of all, they let people smoke weed inside the club and it was absolutely disgusting. The smell was overwhelming the entire night. Since the place is already small and cramped, there’s literally no escaping it. We left smelling like smoke from head to toe, and our clothes and hair reeked afterward. It completely ruined the experience. The club was also surprisingly dead for a weekend. The crowd was mostly very young kids acting reckless, smoking everywhere, and just killing the vibe overall. It felt more chaotic than fun. Definitely not the atmosphere we expected for a birthday celebration. The bottle girl we had looked completely miserable the entire night like she didn’t want to be there and had an attitude. I understand everyone has bad days, but when you work in hospitality/customer service, your energy matters. She acted like helping us was a burden. If you hate your job that much, maybe working around people isn’t the right fit. The music was MID at best. The DJ played the same repetitive songs over and over with no creativity at all. No real variety, no good transitions, and barely any dancehall or soca music which was disappointing because that’s exactly the type of vibe we were hoping for. The DJ honestly killed the energy more than helped it. We honestly wanted to leave early, but my friend already paid a deposit for her section, so we stayed just so she wouldn’t lose her money. Otherwise, we would’ve left within the first hour. We were told the club would get better but unfortunately it didnt. There are way better spots in the area with better music, better vibes, better service, better crowds, and even better bottle prices, BETTER EVERYTHING. Blend used to have a name for itself, but now it just feels tired and outdated. Safe to say we will not be returning, and we definitely redid her birthday celebration somewhere worth it.

Well I must say, this Birthday was by far the best....can't remember a lot but that's what happens when you get the Memory Loss package. They catered to my every need and everything ran really smooth. The DJ was amazing and he definitely delivered. We thought we was the only ones there. I had the best section, right next to the DJ booth. Big shout out to Kris the promoter for making a night to remember, even tho I don't remember, lol. Big shout out to security inside and also outside,y'all did an amazing good. And yes they made my flyer. Amazing, we will be back.....

A bit disappointing being that our section didn’t look like the picture we were sent. It was a few of us. We chose this club for a girls’ night out to celebrate my friend’s birthday this weekend. It felt misleading especially since we booked because of the place and section. Then the girl who took care of us was rude and had an attitude from the start. But we didn’t let all that ruin our night. They ended up giving us two tables, and we made the best of it.

This is an amazing spot to celebrate a birthday or even just go out with your friends . On this night June 14 into June 15 we came to this lit place to celebrate our amazing friend birthday, it was mainly a surprise she didn’t know we were coming here. She was very happy and excited when she arrived our hostess was amazing and it was more than what we could’ve asked for , she had a blast and I just want to thank you.

so im going to be very honest, we had a great time celebrating my friends birthday but my friends and i will NOT come back again. the reason why is because some staff members (two to be exact) was VERY homophobic towards my friend which is HIGHLY disappointing in 2026. if that wasn’t the case i would have given a higher review & would definitely come back again. when we walked into blend my gay friend was immediately greeted in a hostile way by the female wearing eyeglasses in the front taking cover charges, it personally threw me off & i wanted to say something to her but i kept it to myself for the sake of the birthday girl. her tone & attitude should have stayed at home. even the guy at the front door apologized on her behalf to us. the other staff member was a security guard standing near our section. what happen was the birthday girl was standing on top of the couch dancing which the security guard came to tell her to come down due to safety reasons & totally 100% valid reason, i don’t blame him for coming up to tell her that, but the problem was my gay friend was trying to deescalate the situation between the guard and the birthday girl cus they was going back & forth but his words exactly was “ i wasn’t talking to you” TO HIS face with such a rude & authoritative tone, like as if he was trying to size him up. i was actually in shock & baffled that people are still like this in 2026. but that’s not how you greet/speak/treat to guests who come to have fun and spend quite a bit of money. we did end up switching from the 680 section to 1000 section last minute (thankful for this last minute accommodation) & this is my personal opinion but having people pay a cover charge despite booking a section is kinda dumb to me? the policy for the 1000 section was “10 male or female guests are free before 11:30pm” but made my gay friend pay 20 when we been in line before 11:30pm (11pm to be exact) is crazy to me. then when the rest of my group get there 15 mins after still before/by 11:30pm, the same female with the eyeglasses was trying to argue with the birthday girl that our female friends that were tryna get to the front of the line had to pay! it wasn’t specified if we had to be in line or at the club before 11:30pm to get in for free which most spots in nyc i’ve been to is after 12am or free entry for all guests with a section purchase but whatever. it was very disorganized on that part & would be better if that can be specified on their website or something. but shoutout to the security for being thorough with check in process because you never know what people carry in this day and age. we also came before the snow storm this past weekend so i appreciate the accommodations from our bottle and food waitresses. the music selection was excellent.
