First time trying Surinamese food, and I’m so glad I did! Everything was absolutely delicious, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The food was fresh, authentic, and packed with so much flavor. Definitely exceeded my expectations, and I’ll be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend! 😍

Really enjoyed our meal here! It was my first time trying Surinamese cuisine, and everything was flavorful, comforting, and unique. The dishes had a great mix of spices and influences, and you could tell there was a lot of care put into the food. Definitely a great spot if you’re looking to try something different, and I’d happily come back to explore more of the menu.

From the moment we interacted with the staff, the experience was exceptional. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive even before we arrived. I called ahead to ask if it would be okay to bring a cake, and they were more than accommodating, which immediately set a positive tone for the visit. When we got there, the kindness continued—the staff greeted us warmly and even took the time to assist me with everything I needed, making the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. Since it was our first time trying Surinamese cuisine, we weren’t very familiar with the menu, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They generously offered us samples and took the time to thoroughly explain each dish, including the ingredients, flavors, and cultural background. That level of care and enthusiasm really stood out and made the experience feel special and personalized. The food itself was absolutely amazing—everything was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The drinks were just as impressive and complemented the meal perfectly. On top of that, they also offer hookah for those who are interested, which adds a nice, relaxed vibe to the overall atmosphere. Overall, it was such a memorable experience from start to finish. The combination of outstanding customer service, delicious food, and welcoming environment makes this place a must-visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone, whether you’re new to Surinamese cuisine or already a fan—you won’t be disappointed!

We came with a large-ish group and they were so welcoming and generous, the owner let us sample their house made drinks (loved the ginger beer that wasn't on the menu yet!). We tried a bunch of apps and some of their sample entrees. The baka babana was really nice, and the loempia was a standout. Definitely give them a try!
