Customer service used to be really good. Now all the folks working there have a terrible attitude. I am a regular customer mostly because of the location. Occasionally their vapes are defective, but they won't do exchanges even for regular customers with receipts. It's pretty ridiculous. Most stores would honor those requests at their discretion, but these people give you a whole lecture. I think if the folks were a bit more professional with customers that's something they could handle. Unfortunately, they instead seem to need to be heavy handed and one-size fits all.

I have spent thousands, if not in the tens of thousands of dollars over the years at Capitol Smoke Raleigh and Richmond and that has sadly come to an end today. I walked in this afternoon prepared to purchase one to two worked pieces, a banger and custom glass pearls on top of a few different types of concentrate. We were verbally face-palmed at the door because our daughter was with us, something that has never been an issue in the past. Especially seeing that the $400 pendant I was wearing was picked out by my daughter in that very store. This is seriously unfortunate as I have a vast glass collection specifically from Capital Smoke due to y'alls high quality selection but if the atmosphere has changed so much that you can't have a child stand next to us while we shop then I don't need to spend my money here.

I do not know why they are even negative reviews I stooed by this place and bought some tobacco and tobacco pipe nothing but enthusiasm and lots of help from the 2 young ladies. Will be back but however I am not a major tobacco smoker just occasionally like a short of bourbon and a bit of tobacco.

This place used to be my favorite tobacco store in Raleigh, but the owners and managers appear to have completely let the place go recently. There's no AC for employees or customers, and many of their products are temperature sensitive. Many of their products are completely damaged now, but they're still selling them and refuse to replace/restock. Employees also have to work with nothing but fans for AC, even in the dead of summer. The employees are great, but many have either quit or even been fired en masse at times. Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of what it used to be, and because there's still a few cool employees left.

The staff is top notch and knowledgeable about products. The store itself is an eclectic gem!The customer service is above and beyond. A beautiful group of people working in a wonderfully funky place. I'll visit Everytime I visit the area. Thank you Capitol Smoke crew!! 💜💜💜💜💜
