RACIST EXPERIENCE - I spent over $100 in the store. My package was missing some items. I called ahead to notify the store and was told to come back in so they could fix it. No problem…I came back. Another worker walked up to me and immediately accused me of trying to steal the items I claimed were missing (The missing items only cost about $5 to $7) He didn’t ask say hello, didn’t ask me what I needed help with, didn’t ask for receipt, didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. I was a first time customer, now it will be my last time.

This is an awesome shop with very friendly and helpful sales staff. Every time I visit, Moe is very kind and always available when I have questions. They always have a fantastic stock and the prices are as good as I have found in this city. If you are looking for fair prices or need extra assistance, this is the store for you!

The shop had a welcoming atmosphere. It was clean, well-organized, and the layout made it easy to find what I needed plus the staff was incredible friendly. Moe took the time to explain the differences between several products and made sure I found exactly what I was looking for.

Heartless Experience – Especially Disappointing for Someone with an Injury I came to pick up my food from Meat & Bite, which is located right next to Maxx Tobacco & Vapor. Due to ongoing construction on Hillsborough Street, the U-turn was closed, so my only options were either to park far away and cross a busy road or briefly use the empty parking lot in front of Maxx Tobacco. Even though the lot was completely empty and I explained that I just needed less than a minute to grab my prepaid order, the person from the tobacco shop refused to let me park there. What made it worse — he could clearly see that I was limping, with my knee wrapped in bandages, yet still showed zero compassion or basic decency. It’s disappointing when local businesses show no sense of community or humanity. That kind of attitude drives people away. I sincerely hope Meat & Bite continues to succeed — but I can’t support or recommend a business like Maxx Tobacco that treats people this way. I really hope you guys go out of business.
