I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but I was surprised to see an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill. I’ve dined at many restaurants, and this is the first time I’ve seen a mandatory tip added without any prior notice. Tipping should reflect the customer’s experience and choice, so finding it already included felt uncomfortable. Restaurants should make automatic gratuities clearly known before customers order. The food was so so , but the unexpected charge left me disappointed.

Disappointed with my experience at Kan Zaman Restaurant. We ordered only ONE Top Shelf drink, but they charged us for TWO. Then they applied 8% sales tax and 18% gratuity on the inflated total. Always check your receipt carefully before paying. I would not recommend this restaurant after this experience. They are not even ready to recalculate the bill again. So pathetic.

I had a very disappointing experience at Kan Zaman. The restaurant advertised that it would be showing the World Cup matches, so my friends and I decided to come, order food, and enjoy the game. Everything was going well, and the waitress who served us was very kind and professional. However, when our team scored and we celebrated, the waitress informed us that the manager said we were not allowed to celebrate or raise our voices. If you choose to advertise live World Cup matches, you should expect football fans to cheer when their team scores. That’s part of the experience. We paid for our food and came to enjoy the match, but instead, the manager completely ruined the atmosphere and our mood. My advice to the manager: if football fans celebrating bothers you, then don’t advertise World Cup games at your restaurant. Very disappointing experience.

Felt welcome here even we weren’t smoking hookah. Enjoyed the unique decor and feel of the place. The large booths would be perfect for big groups. We felt unrushed and enjoyed dinner - service was fast.

This place is amazing. I was wondering why it had a below 4 star rating and here is what’s up. Smoke 💨 This is a hookah bar and a restaurant. There is smoking allowed anywhere in the facility there is no separation from smoking and non smoking. The hookah is amazing ! The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. There are a tun of flavors you can mix and match. Our waitress made her own special flavor and it was lovely. Food The food is middle eastern, it seemed very authentic and it was delicious. There are vegan options and large family style meals. The bakery is amazing ! Our desserts were delicious, we were even offered one on the house which was so special! Gratuity is included, I am not sure why people are complacent so much about that. It really ensures that the service staff is well taken care of the pricing was incredibly fair to me. Atmosphere Apparently they have single act Arabian musicians on Saturdays. I am definitely going back for that. The seating is so cozy, big patterned pillows and comfortable booths. The lighting is dim and there are lanterns hung from the tin drop ceiling. Middle Easter decor and authentic clothing and flags. So cool ! There is a lot to look at. They also have an outdoor patio.
