3.7 stars. Our party of eleven caught up over dinner here recently. Service was consistent and handled by a team of servers who worked really well together. We ordered various appetizers such as fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and two other ones I could not identify. One had lobster and was quite cheesy while the other was more of a spread served with toast points. After appetizers, they brought out the various salads our party had ordered. I highly recommend the chopped salad as the combination of apples, candied pecans, dressing were delicious. Ordered the Roquefort filet blue which was overcooked. Rather than waste it by sending it back to the kitchen, I ate it though each bite was underwhelming as I like my steaks bloody. I noticed half the table did not finish their steaks too. We ordered various shared sides of which they all raved about. We did not try their dessert as half of our party was ready to be done with dinner. Overall bill with tip and some drinks was a little over $100 per person. For the price charged, the experience was underwhelming. Ambiance was mediocre too.

My wife and I visited Mickey Mantle's on a Friday afternoon to celebrate ten years of wedded bliss.. This was our first visit despite living in the OKC metro area for at least the past decade.. I digress.. The atmosphere inside is classic dark woods, white tablecloths, and nicely attired wait staff.. In a word or two, very classic.. That said, we were dressed in what I would describe as nice casual and fit right in with the multitudes of Nebraska Cornhusker fans in town for the NCAA Men's Basketball tourney.. Several members of the waitstaff visited the table, collecting extra place settings and wine glasses, delivering ice water, and assuring us that our assigned server, Karina, would be by momentarily.. Karina made her entrance and gave us a quick rundown of the experience we were getting ready to have.. She gave a brief overview of the main menu and advised that cocktails, wines, beers, and daily specials could be found on the iPad she left with us to peruse at our own pace.. We deferred any appetizers on this visit and went straight to cocktails.. We requested a pair of classic margaritas fashioned with Casamigos Reposado Tequila.. They were pretty good despite them not being a signature menu cocktail.. Based on my review of the available spirits, MM's will satisfy any bourbon, whisky, or scotch connoisseur, with many options for cocktails fashioned with those.. Karina delivered the complimentary sourdough bread with a side of whipped butter.. Even if you are counting carbs, just cheat, this bread is worth it!! For dinner, my wife opted for the 7oz center cut filet (sorry, no picture) prepared medium well with a bowl of loaded potato soup.. I opted in for their mesquite smoked 10oz filet prepared medium with a house salad featuring their in-house balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side.. The mesquite smoked filet also comes topped with fried onion straws and a side of bourbon sweet potato mash.. We ordered their jalapeño bacon cream corn for a shared side.. Everything was quite fantastic!! The potato soup was delivered to the table hot, had a very nice consistency, and was packed with flavor.. The house salad featured fresh greens with cherub tomatoes.. It was cold and crisp, and the house balsamic vinegarette was creamier than most but still had a great taste.. A little of it went a long way, which was a plus.. The jalapeño bacon cream corn was simply delightful.. A perfect blend of bacon crumbles, small bits of jalapeños, and a very sweet and creamy corn.. There wasn't anything we didn't like about that side dish.. Both steaks were prepared exactly as we ordered them.. Both were lightly seasoned (salt & pepper) and the mesquite smoked filet had nice hints of mesquite and was nearly fork tender.. It is one of the best filets I've had in a very long time.. The fried onion straws were a nice touch and the bourbon sweet potato mash was almost more of a dessert item than a side.. It reminded me of a sweet potato casserole I do for holidays and special events, without a chopped pecan topping.. I say all of that to say I really enjoyed it.. Karina was very thorough and attentive to our needs and requests.. We enjoyed that she didn't droll through all the house specials like other waitstaff did while we were there.. It helped us enjoy the visit and the experience more.. She also delivered a vase of fresh flowers with an anniversary greeting embedded as our dinner service started, which was a nice touch.. At the end of the day, our tab was less than we've experienced at other like restaurants in the area and we enjoyed ourselves more, so I suspect we'll be back sooner than later.. Thanks to Karina and the other staffers who made our visit great!!

We went here for happy hour. Food (lobster risotto) was good. Service was fantastic. It is of course on higher price point. The risotto was like $22 but it’s to be expected for upscale places like this.

We went for the experience of it being Mickey Mantles. Our service was great by Jason Pickman 5 star. The baked potato was as big as the plate probably 2lb. The NY strip and lobster tail was a fantastic deal. Now the down side was the wagyu steak it’s overpriced and over rated don’t waste your money and just buy a filet. We could not tell the difference. Over all a good experience.

We had an amazing experience at Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse celebrating my dad’s birthday! Our waiter, J, was absolutely fantastic so kind, professional, and attentive, making sure we were taken care of the entire time. As a vegetarian, I highly recommend the Boursin-stuffed zucchini angel hair pasta with marinara sauce it was delicious!😁The food, the service, and the atmosphere all made for a perfect celebration. Definitely a place to visit!!
