The Saints has an amazing atmosphere as well as food. Especially the red snapper and grape salad. The fries were good and my coworkers were enjoying their pineapple wings. The owner and staff were really nice and accommodating. I had a phenomenal time with my crew after our 10 hour work day . We went back the second day, with a whole different group of crew members, but they were closing earlier.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! I don't even remember what this restaurant was called before it became The Saints, but the difference is impossible to ignore. The ambiance is gone, the food is subpar, the management is completely nonchalant, and while our server did her best, she was fighting a losing battle. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday because she wanted to try something new, and it turned into a huge disappointment. The garlic butter shrimp had no garlic whatsoever. The "cheesesteak rolls" were literally wrapped in a tortilla instead of an egg roll wrapper. It felt like corners were cut at every opportunity. The food was sloppy, uninspired, and nowhere near worth the price. To make matters worse, they tack on a 25% large-party gratuity, which is absolutely outrageous considering the quality of the experience. From the food to the atmosphere to the management, this place was a complete letdown. Save yourself the frustration—and your money—and go somewhere else.

I had the butter chicken. It was very good very flavorful. Tyrece was my server. He was so very kind and patient the hospitality was amazing. Had a yummy espresso martini and a lava cake for dessert. The ambulance was very cute.

Googled "African restaurants Philly " & The Saints popped up so I wanted to try it. It's BYOB. Our waitress was attentive, she kept checking on us to make sure we were good and even offered to take pics. I had Suya chicken, jollof rice and plantains. Everything was tasty and it came out in a reasonable time. The decor is nice and the music was good. I can see it being a vibe once more people start patronizing. Can't wait to go back!!

Menu looked interesting - African food that we'd never tried before. When we got there for dinner, a little after 6pm, we were given the lunch menus and told that was all they were serving. The menu looked far less interesting than the dinner menu but we found two dishes to try. A lamb curry and a "chop chicken" which sounded interesting. Also a side pf plantains. After about 15 minutes, our server came out and said it would be 15 more minutes until we got our food. No nibbles, bread or anything was brought to the table just a glass of water each. After about 15 monutes, the plantains came out with the lamb dish but not with the rice that was supposed to accompany it. That cmae out 5 minutes later (and was barely luke warm). After about 10 more minutes our server came to the table and said they were out of the other dish. We then paid for the curry and plantains and left. The food was fine and the server was personable but overall a horrible experiencce.
