This place is amazing! One look at the food and it is obvious that it is well made. Sampled two appetizers which rivaled the best middle eastern restaurant I had ever tried! The desserts look so fresh and stuffed with goodness. The owner and chef are incredibly kind and friendly. I will definitely be going back regularly!

Layali Café Do you enjoy authentic restaurants with exceptional hospitality, delicious homemade food, and incredible desserts? If so, I believe Layali Café is the place for you. Small businesses are the backbone of a community, and here in Lincoln, Layali Café offers a great selection of beverages, food, and desserts. They also serve hookah for those who enjoy it. This evening was my first time dining inside, and my first impression was excellent. I was greeted by Mohammed, who welcomed me and told me to sit wherever I liked. Everything was very clean, and with the FIFA World Cup active, each tv was showing live soccer matches. I was lucky enough to catch the Morocco vs Haiti match. One of my favorite qualities in a restaurant is when the staff and owners make you feel comfortable, almost as if you’re visiting a friend’s home. I don’t think I’ve been to a place that matched this level of hospitality. Mohammed gave me a great drink recommendation, explained and showed me several menu items, and even showed me some beautiful pictures of Syria. We had a great conversation, and the experience genuinely made my day. I ordered the Blue Mojito, which was very refreshing, along with the Large Cheese Pie. It was my first time trying one, and it was phenomenal. It had a delicious house-made cheese filling. I was offered utensils, but traditionally it is eaten by hand so I opted the traditional route. For dessert, I had the Nutella Baklava, which was outstanding. The pastry was perfectly crisp, and the flavor was a 10/10. If you’re a fan of crepes, you’ll love Layali Café’s. I ordered the Oreo Crepe, and it was extraordinary and easily one of the best crepes around. Also I have to mention how affordable everything was, especially considering the quality, portions, and hospitality. I will definitely be recommending Layali Café to others, and I fully plan on returning with friends and family in the future. Thank you for this great dining experience.

We stopped in for something sweet and oh my God, did we choose well! The desserts here are rich, decadent, and will satisfy whatever sweet tooth you have! Service was great! Our server was knowledgeable and patient, answering all our questions with a smile. Totally relaxed atmosphere, we played Mancala while we waited for our food. Their Oreo shakes are absolutely delicious, so much more than we expected as was the Oreo crepe. The Kinder Waffle was my favorite, I kept licking my fingers of the chocolate sauce that was to die for! If you're in the area, DEFINITELY stop in!

Absolutely love Layali Cafe! The desserts are amazing, the service was great. The atmosphere was so welcoming and my friend and I had such a good time. I have not stopped talking to my friends about this place and will continue to recommend it to everyone. Can’t wait to go back!

Me and my mom came here for valentine’s day evening and everything was amazing. The waffle and crepe were well made and delicious. My mojito was very flavorful. It’s nice to have a new great place to eat in the little general plaza!
