The customer service at the Dollar General on Houston Levee is really disappointing. When the line became backed up, one employee had earbuds in and ignored a customer who spoke to him. He didn’t respond and just pointed to another worker who was already helping someone else. No one greets you when you walk up, and the overall attitude feels careless and unprofessional. Basic courtesy goes a long way. Honestly, we should bring back shaming poor customer service. What happened to human decency?

There was only one cashier for a Saturday. Randy, was doing the job of 2 cashiers though to get the customers through the line faster!

They need to check the shelves for expired items. I purchased jelly and didn’t look at the expiration date. Best to use by 6/19/2025. Smh.

My daughter and I made a walking trip here for some essentials. (About a 12 min. walk.) They had everything I was looking for and then some. Also, reasonably priced. The customer service is A1 as far I'm concerned. The cashier/team member went above and beyond! I would like to mention his name. Unfortunately, it wasn't located on the receipt. I've only recently moved to this area and only visited this store few occasions. Everyone, I have been in contact with have been nice and helpful. What I am finding ,is to me, seems the store is too small for all the merchandise. Always, things in aisles and they are already difficult to maneuver as are so close. Doesn't seem to affect the volume of business at the store but would be nice to shop with less clutter.
