i cannot express my love for this store + their employees enough. genuine angels + gardening lovers who just want to help and have the best vibe while doing so! thank you lillian + the other lovely lady working with her for your kindness! planet K has sooo many amazing products and the store is just such a fun vibe too. i bring my dog in and they always make sure she is taken care of :) if youre a fellow gardener you gotta go here

I generally like going to planet k The location on cesar chavez had a guy behind the counter that didnt seem to want to help me when i asked questions about the products you sell for consumsuption. Wasnt willing to allow me to read the product since he didnt know simple questions like if something was infused or if indica or sativa .. over all terriboe experience. Super loud music and the guy whispering and ignoring my questions .. i still made a purchase . But this was terrible . Buddy behind the counter ruined the vibe in a matter of seconds.

I had not been in Planet K in 20 years. I went inside and they look like they had not had a customer all day. I wanted to look around for a moment. It still had the same smell I remember, but the kids working there rushed me. I even told them I had not been in there in 20 years, but they didn’t understand. When I finally wanted to buy a pipe and incense, the kid insisted I show an ID to match my debit card. He made sure to tell me it wasn’t because I looked young it was because “they get a lot of homeless.” The socially inept Gen Z clerk implied I looked homeless? I only had a small amount of cash on me, so I was forced to buy the cheapest pipe. I didn’t want to have to come back. My experience aside, how does a place like this stay open? I live across the street, and I can see they are lucky to do enough business just to pay their lowly employees minimum wage. They can’t be making money unless their rent is free on the building. They probably do less than $100 of business per day in 2025. With the kind of service I experienced, you can’t blame someone for just ordering what they need from Amazon.

I’m from Chicago & was in Austin with my cousins in February. Stopped here for a few necessities & I loved everyone working there! The place was amazing..so much to explore! The staff helped me find exactly what I needed & more & I’m very pleased with my stuff. I had fun too because of the knowledgeable & cool employees! Hope to visit again some day.
