Absolutely loved this place! Came for Valentines dinner and then sat for hookah and tea at the outdoor area. I think you can order food on both sides but it was fun to have a “nicer” and then more relaxed option on either side of the restaurant. The food was really good. I looooved the brussel sprouts with grape and also the cheese cigars. Plus, the service couldn’t have been nicer. Highly recommend! Even worth finding parking in Deep Ellum which can sometimes be a deterrent to visiting the area lol.

Amazing place, delicious food! Stuff are friendly, we asked to turn off HVAC, they made exceptions for us! We are from NYC and we don’t have so delicious Lebanese cuisine there!
Their website says "Mediterranean food at its finest." Sadly, it is far from "finest" and I recommend reconsidering if you're going in a large group. There's no such thing as "[t]he endless supply of fresh flatbread" brought to your table (we didn't get any unless we ordered hummus). Providing honest review of a dinner for 12 at 6:30 pm: - Arak arrived very cloudy and obviously watered down. I recommend not ordering this if you are used to nice arak. This was a shame, as we were excited to share this traditional drink with people who have never had it before. - The food took way too long to arrive. After taking our drinks order, nearly an hour passed before the waiter even bothered to check if we needed anything. Multiple people at my table needed utensils, and none arrived for a long time after asking 3 times. It seemed like they were more concerned with what was going on in the hookah bar than what was going on at the restaurant. So much for "friendly and knowledgeable servers," I guess? - When the check arrived, they said nothing about the 20% gratuity already included. It's common practice to pre-add gratuity to large parties, but it's also common practice to be transparent with customers if you've added this to the final check already. - It was unbelievably hot in the restaurant. It was a heat wave in Dallas, so we understand that we need to be gracious with how hot things are in general, but when we asked about turning on the AC the waiter lied and said it was "as high as it goes, and the reason it's hot in the restaurant is because the door keeps opening." This was odd, as there was nobody else in the restaurant and the door barely opened. We even had to get up and physically move a fan to our table because nobody bothered to ask if we were uncomfortable. - The food was normal, not a "culinary adventure," but we definitely expected more. The falafel wrap was dry and small. - Because the service was so slow, when you don't have an item on the menu, it's even more painful of an experience. We asked for the kenafeh, and after 30 minutes the waiter came out and said the chef "can't do kenafeh" today. I don't know how it could take 30 minutes to learn you can't do a pre-made dessert. Maybe it was just a bad night. I hope it was. We loved our time in Dallas, but Zatar has not "created a foodie haven" in this city. Far from it. I guess their website got one thing right when they say "Zatar is an experience like no other."
Nice meal prior to concert at The Factory. Had fried cauliflower and lentil croquettes as appetizers followed by gyro plate and salmon entrees followed by warm chocolate cake dessert. Everything was tasty. Service was friendly and meal was well-paced. No complaints.
Reservation: We had a reservation, but the place wasn't too busy if you arrived early enough! Service: 5 out of 5. Our server was fantastic! He provided excellent recommendations and made our dining experience enjoyable. Food: 8 out of 10. We began with the hummus, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful! We also tried the gyro plate and shawarma tacos. I highly recommend the tacos as they were absolutely awesome! Overall, this place is fantastic! Just be aware that the area can be a bit sketchy at night. However, it's definitely worth a visit for the outstanding food and great service!
