Today, I went this bar and lounge and the waitress told security that I didn’t want to pay for a cup. That was a lie and he said we have to leave based on her lie. This is the second time I was disrespected at this place. The first time was when my husband Zelled the waitress and she said we didn’t pay! I should have listened to him and not come back!!

I was in Houston not too long ago on a business trip I was driving around figuring out where I should go and eat when I came across NYC vibes. I saw how busy it was so I figured I would go and check it out. Let me tell you I am so glad I did not only was the atmosphere great the food was phenomenal. I had the sampler which had chicken, shrimp, beef, and lamb chops. And the Variety of hookah flavors they had was overwhelming very hard to choose from lol My second night I decided to go back and again very welcoming Staff The owner introduced himself I believe his name was UK The waitress Amber very pleasant very sweet And again, the food was unbelievably good I was so recommend if you’re in the Houston area to check NYC vibes out between the staff, the food, the music and the hookah you will not be disappointed I will be visiting NYC vibes when I’m in Houston area again in two months

Beware, they charge $10 per cup even if you already brought your own bottle and reserved a table!!! The owner told me he was giving me a discount on the table I reserved BEFORE 9:30pm when in reality the tables are free before 9:30pm! It's false advertisement and horrible customer service!

I visited this lounge recently after having dinner elsewhere and arrived around 1:45 AM. The business advertises a 2:00 AM closing time. I asked if I could use the restroom and was initially told yes, but then other staff members said the restroom was closed. I understand that businesses have the right to close their restrooms or begin closing procedures. However, what happened next was completely unacceptable. While I was inside the restroom, the owner became upset and attempted to force the restroom door open. As a woman who was actively using the restroom and trying to get dressed, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable, unsafe, and disrespected. What makes this even more disappointing is that this venue heavily profits from and promotes Afrobeat music and Nigerian culture, yet the respect shown to members of that community did not reflect the culture the business benefits from. There is a difference between appreciating a culture and simply using it as a business model while treating people poorly. The issue is not that the restroom was closed. The issue is that someone knowingly attempted to enter a locked restroom while it was occupied. No customer should have to experience that. Professionalism, respect, and basic privacy should be expected at any establishment. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this venue.
