We loved this place so much that we went twice in the same day! Kelsey was our bartender. She was busy but very attentive. She was working the bar, working as the server and hostess. She killed it. Very personable and sweet. My husband’s beer was cold, if you know you know. No one wants a warm beer in VA 100 weather. We had the tuna poke nachos. 11/10. My husband loves cigars and they have a humidor with a good selection. They have a cigar lounge with multiple pool tables and recliners. We drove an hour just to check this place out based off of reviews. We will definitely be back!

We visited Lake Country Tavern on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was full and lively. The staff were excellent and attentive. The food was interesting. There were a lot of big flavor profiles from the meals. The shrimp and grits had a sweet barbeque flavor. The Jamaican jerk rice had a beautiful flavor and spice that stayed in your mouth. The Mac and cheese was creamy without the sharpness of cheddar. The Caesar salad was delicious with a bold dressing. The restaurant does not claim to be child friendly and does not have a children's menu or any changing tables. This is their right to not accommodate children in that way. The wait staff were friendly to my children and provided cups with lids.

Ordered chicken and club sandwich which were really good, but also ordered margarita flatbread which was prepared horribly (photo enclosed). It arrived as bread, smothered in excessive sauce and half melted cheese. No flavor and mushy due to amount of sauce. We notified waitress. Upon receiving bill, we were charged for flatbread though we advised it was not edible. We requested it be removed from bill and were initially told they could give us 50% off. Appalled, we finally persuaded them to remove the $15.50 charge. Lack of staffing (one waitress for entire restaurant) and poor customer service on managements part leave me writing this poor review and not recommending this establishment to others.

Absolutely delicious!! Ate on the lighter side this trip but look forward to trying an entree next time. Best turtle cheesecake ever!!

10/10 food!!! What really keeps us coming back, is the incredible service. Huge shoutout to Amanda and Cherie (our favorites!) They’re always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely make every visit better. Their positive attitudes and smiles are contagious, and it’s impossible not to leave in a good mood when they’re working. Amazing food, amazing people, and consistently great service. Highly recommend!
