JJ's provides the downtown area with constant convince. Food, snacks, drinks, beer, wine, vapes, and smokes are all available from 6am to 12:30am or even 2am depending on the day. The store is clean, air conditioned, staffed with a variety of family members and Bellingham locals, and makes an extra effort to be involved and there for the community, especially the un-housed. With their microwave, frozen drink, milkshake and hot water/coffee preparation areas, they meet the needs of those who live nearby. During extreme weather, the store is a welcome respite from the trauma of the outside, a place where people can warm up or cool down, briefly, while using food stamps or currency to purchase admittedly expensive products. I can only imagine what rent is like in the heart of downtown, next to the late night diner, combined with the constant shrinkage losses. Those expenses are passed on to you. We pay for convenience. To sum it up, this store is like family to me, and I highly encourage anyone to stop by, check it out for themselves, and be treated to amazing service by either the family that owns it, or one of their friendly employees. Any review giving you any illusion or slander else wise is based on fear. Often the un-housed will gather outside to enjoy their snacks, JJ's works to not let this impede on your entrance and exit, but at the end of the day, there's guaranteed to be a lot going on. P.S. Hope you get to meet Jimmy!

No idea where all the negative reviews are coming from. The staff are always really friendly, especially when you consider what kind of customer they have to deal with a lot of the time. Lots of inventory and random snacks/drinks that are fun to try. Pretty decent prices too considering they’re the only option downtown for some of this stuff.

This corner store never misses! The snack and drink selection is dangerously good. They’ve got drinks for every mood, whether you need an energy drink to survive the day or a cold one to celebrate the afternoon. The people here are genuinely friendly every single time, which makes it so easy to keep coming back :) Highly recommend! 🙌

A junky paradise with sneering staff who usually can’t be bothered to even get off the phone to check out paying customers. If you HAVE to go into JJ’s, I wouldn’t go in until well after 8 am. Some of their prices are decent but you can get many of the exact same products for much less money about anywhere else

It is genuinely difficult to get in and out of this store, not even due to fear or uncomfortable-ness, the entrance is legit just blocked by bodies sometimes. I've only ever gone here out of absolute necessity and have dreaded those times. The entire experience is weird and I've very rarely ever had to consider when I enter a store 'will I be able to exit when I want to or will I have to wait for the entrance to clear?'.
