This is my favorite shop in Poulsbo, and I always try to stop in when I’m nearby - and I’ll go out if my way to get there. He’s got a great selection of tobacco and pipes, and the nautical vibe really adds to the whole experience. There are also plenty of really cool items that make great gifts or collectibles. I’ve chatted with the owner a few times—he’s super friendly and easy to talk to. If you’re looking for something unique or need a good gift idea, it’s definitely worth checking out!

I have been visiting this store for years and have never had a bad experience. The prices are fair and the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable. I see lots of poor reviews and I can’t help but think you would have to be somewhat of a nuisance to get a negative response out of the owner here. I bought a lighter from him and the color that I chose was black lacquer and he even warned me that the black lacquer finish has a reputation for chipping and I still got it anyway. Unfortunately, he was right even when I took the best care of the lighter lol! But the point still stands that he is an honest man with an honest business and that is hard to come by nowadays and apparently very under-appreciated. As a tobacconist he stores everything perfectly and even gave me some free stuff when I bought my first pipe from him! Amazing experience if you carry yourself with respect as everyone should!

Great experience. If you are a pipe enthusiast this is your place. From personal experience; great pipe selection if you want a quality pipe, great tobacco selection. Maybe just some tobacco talk while you browse. All good. Only true pipe shop in WA.

If I could do zero stars I would. This guy is absolutely horrible, he has to be the owner. I am amazed he is still in business. It has to be because he has nice things not his attitude. Which is so sad because his store is great and he just isn’t. My brother was looking at a cribbage board and the owner asked him if he needed help. My brother said he really like them all but he wished his girlfriend was there so she could pick out one she likes too. The owner responded with “you need permission for a $75 purchase”? I couldn’t believe it…how chauvinistic…it was disgusting. If he wasn’t the owner he would have been fired. He feels like he can just say whatever he wants without repercussions. He is gross.

Great place especially for tobacco needs. I had a lengthy conversation with the owner about his pipes and tobacco, and he was very helpful. He was also engaged and conversational with the customers ahead of me. Good selection of wares, pipes, and cigars. I think some of the negative reviews may come from a misunderstanding. This is a long-time local business owner, and Poulsbo wasn’t always a tourist town. Twenty or thirty years ago (or less even) it was a quiet place for locals, not a stop for photos and quick browsing. I think people need to consider this more when visiting a town just for tourism purposes. I’m from a nearby town and understand how the shift toward tourism hasn’t always been easy or positive for locals. Anyways, during my visit, he was helpful, knowledgeable, and took time to answer my questions. I had a good experience and felt treated respectfully as a customer. Will be back again.
