I came from out of town on a Saturday afternoon not long ago. The guy working was a man with black dreads and a beautiful smile and soul helped me.He was super honest and upfront. He was unapologetically himself and thats so cool to see (Four Quarters are better than one hundred pennies) He knew.... I told him I'd be back the following day to grab more before I leave the state. Unfortunately it was the day after and he was off. I let his boss know that his employee was a solid person that you don't run across much anymore. The owner concurred and said the same about his loyal employee. I want to make it back there soon. Kate A., Vegas bound . Thank you 😊 Best time ....

Again I will recap my story from the other Up In Smoke store reviews. Yes the Up In Smoke stores are family owned and operated by my guys Mike and Murad. I used to chat with Mike at the store he managed on Bristol Ave formerly. Now today I got the story straight from the crew at both locations and my guy Johnny at the location here on Newport Blvd North and Wilson in Costa Mesa. First, make sure that you're headed north on Newport Blvd back in the direction of Santa Ana. Then just past 23rd Street you'll see the stop light at Wilson. The center is immediately on the right, be careful as the parking lot is rather tight. Also there's the 7/11 right next door. My guy Johnny was also super nice and accommodating when I asked him if I could take some pictures. One thing I noticed was that this location also has a good selection of Kratom from various brands. Really nice to add to your coffee or in a protein shake. Also this location has a cool Zippo lighter display with a decent selection of cool lighters. A slightly larger selection of Hookahs than the Newport/Balboa store. Everything else is solid and quite comparable to the Balboa store. Fantastic service whichever locations you might find yourself visiting. What I personally like is that these are family owned and operated, veteran owned, and have provided the community around Costa Mesa, Newport, Irvine, area for over a couple of decades now. You can't go wrong with stopping by any of the stores, they have exactly what you need and the best crews in store there to help you get exactly what you want. I HIGHLY recommend the Up In Smoke stores whichever location is nearest you. Enjoy!!
This shop is okay. Their prices are higher than the 2 others in the area but, the staff they had working for them were pretty cool and kept me coming back. Ended up having a few experiences with the owner/s (there's multiple owners 🤷), and they've got some fragile egos. Sorry yall can't take some suggestions. Having both owners verbally assault me was quite the experience. Pretty pathetic. Attached is a picture of one of the owners, just because. The 2 white guys and one black guy are hella cool tho (5 🌟 for them 3 guys fr)
Oh! For Sure. I’m in there every week 2 weeks & usually drop $27-$36. So average customer. The owner is always top shelf & friendly. Gives discounts with cash is helpful & all that am invested owner should be. He even recommends more economical options when I’m browsing. I remember my vape charging cord was top of the line materials & was only $8. They should start at $19. It’s better than those 7/11 budget cords that are on the counters. Employees have also been finely hand picked by owner to exhibit the same courtesies has He would. I remember my Tabacco Shop Coffee was given to me like the third time visiting. So Yes frequent the store and I promise you’ll return. Tell friends😃🚬
Every time I go in here, Johnathan is pleasant, patient, knowlegable, and extremely helpful. I feel like I annoy other smoke shops when I'm standing at the counter trying to make sure I'm choosing the correct item. The people here make it quick and easy for me. :)
