I usually love this shop. The morning staff is super kind, and the previous afternoon girl was always helpful with recommendations. However, the new guy with green eyes working the afternoon shift is incredibly rude. He refuses to make eye contact, lies about the inventory, and gave me the wrong flavors while claiming they were the same. He is definitely blowing off customers. Management needs to look into his customer service or bring back the previous afternoon staff.

What happened to the customer service here? I come here all the time and the girls who usually work the counter are always super chill and helpful. But lately there’s a new guy working the afternoon shift light/green eyes and his attitude is terrible. He doesn't even make eye contact acts like you're bothering him and literally lied to me about a product flavor just to get me to buy it. If you ask him a question he just tries to rush you out the door. Management needs to retrain him or replace him because he’s ruining a great shop.
I have been waiting to write this review to give the store the benefit of the doubt-- but each time I go, it gets worse and worse. In short, these people will try and scam you out of every dollar possible. The first time I ever went here I was charged $60 for an two items that retails $20 total at any other smoke shop. I look a bit young for my age and they did not ask for ID, so I am thinking that they were trying to take advantage of what they thought was an underage person. I have been there a few more times afterwards and I complained about that price the first time. They lowered the price after that but still charged about a 150% markup compared to any other shop. One day I went in and there was a young man with curly hair working who I had not seen before. I asked about the price of my item and he said it would be $10 (normal for the item), and he also said he was not sure why the other employees had been overcharging me for them. This makes me wonder if individual employees are trying to pocket the extra cash for themselves? Anyway, after this interaction with the guy I went in a couple more times expecting to finally pay the CORRECT price. The final straw was when I bought two of these items and left $20 on the counter. The woman at the register said "Actually thats not correct, you owe me $10 more". I proceeded to tell her that according to the other employee these products were in fact the amount I gave her. She rolled her eyes at me and gave a sigh and said "Yeah okay I'll take it this time but next time it is going to be the price I say". Needless to say I am not going here again unless I can get some confirmation of fair pricing. One more note is that on the whole, these employees are incredibly unprofessional. Often times they come out of the back looking annoyed that you even entered the store, draped in a giant blanket and with clearly bloodshot eyes. I understand it is a smoke shop but getting high on the job just seems bad for a business.
The staff is always there when I show up. They know their merchandise too! I might move to Sunnyvale simply because the staff.... Ok let's not make this too vague... I might move to Sunnyvale because I think the ladies at the smoke shop... behind the counter? They are HOTT!
This El Camino Smoke Shop is highly recommended when you’re in the area or just passing by. I stop by there after work to pick up my carts every weekend and it’s always a smooth process. I’m told there’s a new manager there as well. The Mexican girl with the red long hair. She always recommend good flavors on vapes and good flavor on wax carts. I like a smooth process when I make a purchase or if I can’t make a decision on a flavor I’d like. I’m hoping the customer service provided with the items I brought gives good recommendations. Now I end up liking a new vape every time. Shoutout to the girl in red hair at El Camino Smoke Shop for always recommending a new flavor vape and wax pen carts. Orange Dragon is my new go to now.
