Nora's Sugar Shack feels like one of those places you almost don't want to tell people about because part of the charm is that it still feels like a local secret. From the outside it looks like a quirky little neighborhood shop, but once you step inside you're greeted by walls covered in stickers, shelves of interesting bottles, a well-stocked humidor, and the kind of welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to hang around for a while instead of just making a purchase. What stands out most is the personality. This isn't a polished retail chain trying to manufacture character—it has character. Every corner feels like it's collected stories over the years, and the staff makes the whole experience feel more like visiting friends than shopping. Whether you're looking for a good cigar, a unique bottle of wine, a craft beer you haven't tried, or just a conversation with people who genuinely know their products, Nora's delivers. Places like this are part of what makes the Audubon Park neighborhood special. Independent, a little quirky, genuinely welcoming, and completely comfortable being exactly what they are. 🦩

My friends and I stopped by Noras for the first time and were in shock how much of a homey feel it had within. Many places you could just sit and have a drink within the house. So many small details inside. Nora herself is such a friendly and welcoming person. My friends and I really enjoyed the selection of beers/wines/cigars to offer. Will definitely return. This place is such a hidden gem.
The place has a "candy" sign and also had a "puppies and pints" sign for today and based on the signage you'd think this is a family (including pets) friendly place, however, as soon as you arrive the smell of nicotine is so overwhelming I was immediately concerned for the only two puppies they had there. Nicotine is highly toxic to dogs, even in small amounts, so even reading how Nora has had her own dogs in there from the comments is extremely concerning. Not surprising however, as when I used to work at the Vet hospital, "Pet Rescue by Judy" was one of the most frustrating clients we had to work with as far as pet health was concerned, neglectful cases to say the least. Definitely not sure what the crowd that attends here is, and glad to hear the business has support for those interested, but probably dont plan to walk in there with children or pets if you truly care about their health, for anyone else who loves nicotine and smoke paired with a "homey shack" vibe, by all means, Nora's Shack is the place.
One of Orlando's most unique hang out lounges, Nora's is a small house tucked amongst the many cool local bars on Virginia. Nora converted the house into a trippy hippy inspired bar and shop selling small batch beers and wine from around the world as well as tobacco products and other unique merchandise. Nora herself invites you to relax upon her various sagging sofas and lounge chairs, or step outside to her private patio lit with Christmas tree lights and bar signs. The prices are reasonable, the beer list extensive, and the vibe is something a downtown bar could never replicate. 2024 Update: Same place with some minor tweaks inside. Same Nora making the world a better place.
Walking in we had no idea what to expect, but were blown away by this eclectic and authentic little bar. Nora makes this place special, and it's such a hidden gem. Will definitely be back.
