Amazing service, amazing food, amazing specials, amazing value! I had the rasta pasta with salmon, 12/10! Most 5 star restaurants don’t even have wild caught salmon, they used the unhealthy (cheaper) farm raised salmon. NOT CRU 🔥 the salmon philly was amazing, $7 drink specials ans $10 hookah, this place will see me every wednesday! Clean bathroom, great music, great vibes

Wings & fries are off the chain, drinks are top tier, the vibe comfortable and lit. One of my favorite places to go any day of the week. They have specials on the weekdays. I go Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The service is great & free entry… can’t beat that

This was last Thursday around 10:42 PM. I’m a regular at the Cru on Peters Street and had actually been there earlier that same day, where I received excellent service. I’d never been to the Edgewood location before, but I was already in the area and wanted a good vibe. When we first walked in, the restaurant was practically empty. Since it was close to 11 PM, I specifically asked my server about the happy hour specials before ordering. I wanted to make sure I could still get the deals since it was around 10:45 PM. Her response was short and snappy: “You can order whatever until happy hour ends at 11.” To avoid any confusion, I specifically confirmed that the shots I wanted were the $5 happy hour shots before ordering. I also asked questions about pricing beforehand in case something happened and I needed another one later. I ordered five of the $5 happy hour shots and a hookah. The shots came out quickly, and shortly after, the hookah was brought to the table. While it was being placed down, one of the shots was knocked over. Nobody in my group caused it—it happened during the hookah setup. I didn’t notice immediately because the server had already walked away. Once I realized what happened, I found the server and politely asked if the shot could be replaced. Her response was, “I can replace it and charge you for another one,” in a condescending tone. I was confused because I had already clarified pricing beforehand. When I told her I’d just pay the $5, she said it would be $7. I reminded her that I had ordered the $5 happy hour shots. She then asked me what time it was. I showed her my phone, which read 10:53 PM. After speaking with a man nearby, she appeared to realize she was mistaken and finally agreed to fix it. At that point, I was already turned off by the experience. It was never about the money—it was the attitude. As the night went on, the restaurant got much busier. Staff started squeezing additional parties into our section and pushed our group further into a corner. The area became so cramped that everyone’s knees were practically touching the table. Later, one of my friends accidentally knocked over a neighboring guest’s drink. He immediately paid for it, and within moments two servers rushed over to clean it up. Meanwhile, the shot that had been spilled at our table earlier was never cleaned up. After the interaction about the shot, nobody checked on our table for the rest of the night. When the server finally returned, I told her I didn’t appreciate the attitude I received or the lack of attention our table had gotten throughout the evening. She told me she had “no issues” with our table and that we were “cool.” Then, when it was time to pay, I told her, “Give me one second,” because my friend and I were splitting the bill. I literally turned around for a few seconds to discuss payment, and when I turned back around, she was gone. We had to wait yet again for her to return. What makes this so disappointing is that I know what good service at Cru looks like because I experience it regularly at the Peters Street location. I had been there earlier that same day and received excellent service. The difference between the two locations was night and day. This wasn’t about a spilled shot or a few dollars. Mistakes happen. What left such a bad taste in my mouth was the attitude, lack of patience, lack of attentiveness, and overall feeling that our table wasn’t valued as paying customers. I will never return to this location. There are too many places to spend my money for me to support an establishment where I felt unappreciated and unwelcome. Peters Street has consistently earned my business; unfortunately, Edgewood has permanently lost it.

I had extremely high hopes, but this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in a long time. The customer service was unprofessional, communication was poor, and I felt like my concerns were completely ignored. What was promised did not match what I actually received, and I left feeling like my time and money were wasted. I gave multiple opportunities for things to be made right, but instead of taking accountability, I was met with excuses and a lack of concern. I would not recommend this business based on my experience, and I certainly won’t be returning. There are too many other places that value their customers and provide better service.

we came here and nobody spoke to us for the first 15 minutes. We had to go to the bar to figure out why nobody was giving us service and ended up being a situation where they wanted to service us after 20 minutes and let us know that they were waiting to find out if we needed help, which is extremely unprofessional and crazy. They ended up serving us with the most bullshit wine when we ask for white wine they only gave a red and didn’t even know the difference. This is completely unacceptable. we also asked for our hookah to be fixed because they were not giving us the flavors that we initially asked, but they ended up bringing it to the exact same flavor after taking 30 more mins. overall, very mid experience would not come back here.
