Nice little shop right next to Harris Teeter. Good variety and fair prices.

Prices are kind of high here. They don’t have that many specials compared to other spots in the area

I’m preparing for a family celebration and called to make sure they have what I’m looking for before driving over. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I could hardly get a word out of my mouth before she says she “didn’t have time to answer questions”. Fortunately there is another business not far from them that wasn’t too busy or too rude to handle a business inquiry over the phone and will be able to fill my order! Had such an unfortunate interaction today at King’s contrivance Liquor and smoke shop, A place I usually go to when I need liquor of some sorts. So I shopped around and found my favorite cheap wine and as I was standing in line I realized my card wasn’t working, so I walked outside towards my car to get better Wi-Fi in hopes I wouldn’t have to go to a completely different liquor store. Instead I was beckoned frantically by this white blonde woman that I’ve never seen before and a south Asian looking man that ran after me asking “if I needed any help”. I have no problem with that question because in most cases you’re just doing your job however, I was already 10 feet outside of the store when he asked me this question it was very jarring and embarrassing. I asked him straight up “why are you following me outside of the store?” And he couldn’t give a clear answer. Being accused of stealing is a new low, so I called the store back to clarify the details the woman (same one that accused me of stealing) answered the phone and explained to me that they don’t let bags in the store yet this whole time I’ve been shopping there I haven’t been made aware of that new “rule” Very disappointed in how that was handled And I honestly will never come back here. My word of advice for this business is to do better training in handling thieving situations
