I’ve been coming to Quartermasters for 10 years, and it’s been a consistently great experience. Ed, the owner, is a stand-up guy I’ve had the pleasure of knowing personally over the years. The shop has evolved with the times while keeping its welcoming, laid-back vibe. The cigar selection is wide enough that I could try something new every visit for months—but I usually stick with my favorites. They also carry a nice variety of pipe tobacco, and while pipes aren’t their specialty, it’s still worth exploring the selection. Even with a 45-minute drive from West Virginia, it’s always worth the trip to light up a stick, catch up with friends, and enjoy good conversation with Ed and the crew.

I don’t know how I’ve forgotten to leave a review for this place until now, but this is by far the best cigar shop/lounge in Frederick. Customer service is unparalleled and everybody is super chill and the environment/ambience is top notch. Definitely the go to spot for a relaxing cigar in Frederick.
