I called ahead to inquire about the availability and pricing of a 50k disposable vape. Since my friend was already nearby, I asked her to stop by the store on my behalf. Before going in, she also called Pur Vape to compare prices and was quoted a significantly lower price for a similar product. When she arrived at the store and heard the $30 price tag, she politely said she wasn’t interested and mentioned that Pur Vape had offered a better deal in the $20–25 range for a 50k puff vape. Since Pur Vape was a bit farther away, she had decided to stop by this store first because it was more convenient. We also have vape shops closer to our home in New Jersey that sell similar products around that price range, although their selection can sometimes be more limited. Instead of simply respecting her decision, the employee responded with a sarcastic taunting comment along the lines of, “You can go back home and get it from nearby your place, and I’ll also go get one from there.” The issue wasn’t the price it was the attitude. Customers comparing prices is completely normal, especially when multiple shops carry similar products at different price points. There was no reason for a rude or sarcastic response after a customer politely declined a purchase. Businesses are free to charge whatever they want, and customers are free to shop where they find the best value. A simple “No worries, have a good day” would have been the professional response. Unfortunately, this interaction left a negative impression and is the reason for this review.
