I walked in and asked whether the price was with or without tax. He told me, “Yeah, it’s 25 with tax.” So I moved money onto my card to cover exactly that. When I scanned my card, it declined because the total showed 27. Then he says, “Yeah, it’s 25 with tax, and after it comes to 27,” which makes no sense. I ended up digging around for another dollar in cash — meanwhile there’s a whole box full of ones from tips, and the place has a Lamborghini parked inside the store for show. They couldn’t spot a customer a single dollar? And then he says, “I don’t make the rules, I’m just the manager.” I told him to let the owner know it’s a bad look. His unclear answer cost me an extra two dollars because he could’ve just said it was 27 with tax from the start.
