The security here is extremely colorist. I came here on my birthday weekend July 11th last year and security told me the African owners only let redbones in free then let my lighter skinned friend without paying. They told me I had to pay $20. Just when I thought I would be safe in an African environment instead I was met with the same trauma

This place advertises that it’s open 24 hours, but that doesn’t seem to be accurate. My friend and I Ubered here after 2 AM expecting it to be open, only to be turned away at the door without any explanation. It was really disappointing, especially because it’s a Nigerian bar and I was genuinely excited to come out, show support, and have a great time. Clearer hours or communication would definitely help avoid situations like this. I won’t be coming back.

This place was a huge let down. It took too long to get in, almost an hour. Then after paying cover to get inside, there's literally no where to stand or sit. The whole place is filled with tables and sections. In fact you are constantly bumping into bottle girls and random people. No space to dance or move. Dancefloor non existent. It was quite uncomfortable and pretty sure they were over capacity. The parking situation was also a mess.. there's better places in Charlotte to spend your Saturday night.

Friday night was quiet, but Saturday drew a full crowd. You’ll have a better experience if you book a table, as the lounge is mostly furnished with sectional sofas, leaving limited space for those without one. One major downside was the condition of the venue and all the parking spots that were reserved. The sofas were covered in burn marks, which was a big letdown, and some of the tiled designs were missing pieces. Considering how much we spent, I was disappointed by the lack of upkeep and attention to detail. That said, the DJ was good on Saturday, so we still managed to enjoy ourselves.

When I say this place is the place to be. I definitely enjoyed myself && the atmosphere. First off, the lounge itself is nice. I don’t like that the bathroom is in the front but still the lounge is nice. Second, the MUSIC (DJs) were on point. From hip hop to afrobeats…they did that. I truly loved the place and will definitely be back. The people in there were mad cool, men and women…everyone enjoying themselves. The attire from the men (African of course) were on point !!!! They were also very respectful, I loved it. The bottle girls were all on point as well and different ones (light, dark, skinny, thick) The one thing that bugged me was the whistle…when celebrating bday and popping bottles….it kind of kills the vibe for a min but other than that…this place is the place to be especially for some afrobeats…I was not disappointed.
