I almost wound down not trying this place out but so glad I finally gave it a shot. The speakeasy vibe at Red Phone Booth is unmatched in this neighborhood. I’ve been looking for a craft cocktail bar near me with that specific hideaway feel and this is it. Their drinks are genuinely some of the best mixology works I’ve had, super balanced and creative. As a member you get to skip the hunt for decent happy hour nearby and genuinely sit back and enjoy. To bar scene who thought you wouldnt love this? These people dont mess with formulas them so much a person does. Stick to their standards dont dilute consistency otherwise? Absolutely worth respecting every craft lounge we check for each name around Chicago. I truly love the staff here they make it a truly memorable experience! Come see if after just short time you’ll approve maybe what do 2 sills offer what should most expect now.

It’s a cool concept. I already know is a cigar bar but still not fully prepared with the smoke inside. Also on their website they have dress code. But when we get inside I notice most of customers dress up very casual. Little disappointed on that. Cocktail was ok. Not very good tbh. It’s not speak easy. We really have to raise our voice in the bar. The music doesn’t match 1920 style like what they said on their introduction. Probably won’t come back.
Jeff, Arron Justin, Vannessa, Nick and Jennifer were the bomb all super attentive and just made it feel like coming home. What an awesome place to have a cigar and hang with people you love. Also great pizza and bar bites. Shout out to the chef. Food was superb. Highly recommend. Dont just go for special events. Go as much as you can. Unique and amazing.
I stumbled upon Red Phone Booth on a whim and it was such a cool find. We really enjoyed the covert vibe that the place just naturally had in addition to being located in New Orleans. The bartenders took an extra special care in craft as the custom drink recipe lists. Also, anyone who loves a straight wine was happy they will be there since there was a wide selection of cigars paired those also wine and sake options along with the private bar experience space next which sounds legit if you wanted some privacy date. To top it off nice service members staff who can be accommodating our group who was in 5th time that made it worth my while to throw a few bucks to become members this close neighborhood. Sarah was awesome, she took such great care of us.
We’ve visited the RPB three times now and our experience gets more refined each time. We enjoyed Paper Planes and Old Fashioneds, as well as delicious pizzas and BBQ sliders. The owners work hard to create the right atmosphere and GM Jennifer’s team executes their vision with precision. If you haven’t been, it’s a must visit in Durham. It’s the big city experience that you didn’t know you needed!
