I agree with most reviews that the selection and prices are decent - but this is only as compared to other small beer stores in PA. However, two of the beers we recently purchased from this store were past their best-by dates. One was 4 months beyond (a Polish lager, so it was fine), and one IPA was over 8 months past (not good as the taste was too malty and less hoppy). If I had known the freshness of the beers (stamped on the can bottoms that were not visible before opening the packages), I would not have bought them.

Very limited selection, terrible parking lot

A few weekends ago, my husband went in. Bought two 12 packs of Michelob ultra light with the lime, pomegranate and pure gold. Should’ve known better when he saw all the tape on the one box. Get home and one of the boxes is missing a pomegranate beer and another one is almost empty from being ruptured. How someone can put that on a shelf and not say anything to the customer or have a note on it saying what’s wrong with it is horrible. It’s not a quick drive to go back and get our money back and it was after they closed when we realized what they did. Very shady. Also they were the last two cases. We won’t even waste our time again with this place because of dishonest business practices like this.

I ordered two kegs for my wedding a month before the wedding and on my wedding day they called right before we were going to pick them up and told me that they didn't have one of them. They said they were out of stock when I specifically ordered them for my wedding day. Said there was nothing they could do. They offered to give the one the had, but obviously I was pissed and decided to call Shookys in Hawley and they promptly reserved two of the kegs I wanted and I got them an hour later.
