Best shop in the Charleston area for pipe smokers, without question. Steve, the owner, is a great guy and I’ll stop in every time I’m there. I’m not a cigar guy, but it seemed like they had a great humidor full of selection of sticks.

I recently ordered from West Ash Cigars in Charleston and let me tell you — these folks are top-notch. I had never even heard of the shop before, but a friend of mine was flying in from overseas and offered to pick up a box of cigars for me. So, there I am, calling from another country, hoping someone doesn’t think I’m crazy or running a cigar smuggling operation. The gentleman who answered was incredibly helpful. He even asked if I was military and offered me a well-appreciated discount. The cigars were still pricey (quality never comes cheap), but I was happy just to get them. When my friend arrived to pick them up, they were right there waiting with my name on them and — surprise! — they had given me a Christmas discount on top of everything. That was generous, unexpected, and absolutely made my day. I travel through Charleston often, and after this experience, I don’t plan on buying cigars anywhere else. Great customer service, genuine people, and they made the process smoother than airport security — and I mean that as the highest compliment. Thanks again, West Ash Cigars. West Ash Cigars is phenomenal! They have a wide selection of cigars at an incredibly reasonable price. They also carry some insanely tasty pipe tobacco's. The owner is knowledgeable and nice as heck. They don't sell cigarette tobacco or any weird hippie stuff. This is a legit tobacco store, NOT a "head shop". 10/10 recommend!

I had an outstanding experience with this cigar shop—easily a five-star rating across the board. The level of service is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to walk me through different options and made sure I found exactly what I was looking for. What really stood out is how helpful they were beyond just my visit. They assisted my parents in selecting cigars to send over to Thailand, and their guidance made all the difference. That kind of attention to detail and customer care is rare. I also visited in person for the first time while celebrating my 50th birthday, and they helped me put together a fantastic selection of cigars. You can tell they truly know their craft and care about their customers’ experience. Five stars all the way—I’ll definitely be coming back.

I recently revived a pipe from storage and visited West Ash Cigars in search of some pipe tobacco. I met Steve, the owner, who is a delight. He is very pleasant, competent, and helpful. He stocks an excellent selection of cigars and pipe tobacco (loose and tins) as well as all the other bits like lighters, butane, etc. I’ve been back several times since my first visit and Steve is always there with a smile. West Ash Cigars is my favorite cigar shop in Charleston. Stop in soon, and stop in often. You won’t be disappointed!
