Have not eaten here, have gotten cigars and went to the top deck. The drinks taste off. From a gin and tonic to a buffalo with 7 (start). Up to the service has been very very slow. Nice view to have a cigar watching the river but…..

NOT worth your money….. I was really excited to try On the Bend Oyster Bar because the photos online make it look like a really elevated River Walk spot, but the experience didn’t live up to that at all. When we walked in, we stood at the host stand for about two minutes while the hosts had their backs turned talking to each other. One of them clearly saw us standing there and still didn’t say anything until the main host finally turned around and acknowledged us, which made for a pretty awkward first impression. The shrimp cocktail tasted frozen and lacked flavor, which was really disappointing for a seafood spot. Honestly, if something as simple as a shrimp cocktail isn’t good, it didn’t make us want to try any of the other seafood. The seating was also hard and uncomfortable, and the only beer options were expensive cans. We ended up closing out early and going somewhere else. For just one appetizer and two drinks the bill was already around $40, which felt like a total rip off for the quality. There are definitely much better places along the River Walk to spend your money!!!!!!!
This place was amazing! We got the pollo and elote flatbread and four tacos. Could have shared the flatbread, as it was a large portion and absolutely delicious! Glad we didn’t though, because the tacos were incredible! Took it to go so we could eat by the pool upstairs, but Bash was a great server. The house margarita was strong and really good! Highly recommend- we’ll be back!
Went late night on a rainy Saturday night. it was a nice little duck away restaurant. The drinks were decent. The food was okay, Cajun...ish. It's very pretty and the service was nice
I ordered the peel and eat shrimp. My husband ordered the gumbo. This was - hands down - the worst shrimp I have ever had. The shrimp had to have been frozen and thawed multiple times to get the texture it had. It was so bad that it was not finished. My husband's gumbo was cold with no flavor, and the sausage was not andouille. The only reason for the 2 star was the service. A live band was playing tonight.
