Good venue for EDM with very good sound system and DJ setup. LED backdrop which makes it pretty awesome if you want to throw a good party.

Darna is more than just a hookah lounge — it feels more like a bar or club once you step inside. The vibe is energetic, especially when the music turns on, and it’s definitely more of a party atmosphere than a laid-back hookah spot. The hookah itself was good, with nice flavor and a smooth experience, and the pricing is moderate, which makes it accessible for a night out. They also host themed nights like Latin night and Arabic night, which is great if you’re looking to dance and enjoy a lively scene. One downside was that they didn’t offer tea, which is something many hookah lounges typically provide, so that was a bit disappointing. Also, once the music gets loud, it becomes very difficult to have a conversation.

This place was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We were overcharged, never informed about closing time, and they had us sitting there for almost 45 minutes before bringing out a hookah 10 minutes before closing — without saying a single word. The staff didn’t just lack communication; they lacked basic honesty. When we questioned it, the waiter straight-up denied reality and acted like we were making things up. Completely unprofessional behavior. To make it worse, the hookah itself was dirty, poorly prepared, and clearly not cleaned. For a place that charges this much, the quality was embarrassing. Overall, this was one of the worst lounge experiences I’ve had — overpriced, disrespectful staff, zero transparency, and unsanitary equipment. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Darna is such a fun spot if you’re looking for a nightlife vibe in DC. The atmosphere really picks up as the night goes on — great music, good energy, and a crowd that’s there to have a good time. It easily turns from a lounge into more of a club scene later in the evening. The drinks were good and the space has a really nice aesthetic that makes it perfect for a night out with friends or celebrating something. Overall it’s a great place if you want to go somewhere lively where you can grab drinks and dance. Definitely a fun DC nightlife spot

This is the worst place club smoking lounge anywhere. If they don’t want to let you in they will make up some bs point at your shoes and say you are not dressed properly. Also heard from many people that the place is a sausage fest ratio wayyy more men and only a few women. Go ahead and try to go there yourself while getting rejected at the door if you don’t believe me. They probably do that to men only I would imagine to make it look less like a sausage fest. I will never go back.
